I strongly think that what history teaches us best (if we really know how to learn its lessons) is not to repeat the same mistakes over and over. In other words, to avoid doing the same mistakes and evolve. Being smarter, in a nutshell, is key to historical evolution. These are my thoughts. Thanks for the question!
