The African mother
There are things every woman have in common as mother's. They all could sacrifice themselves for their children. They could go extra mile just to see that their child make good use of their time and life. Every mother under the surface of the earth has this in common.
But in addition to these qualities, there are special attributes an African mother has. I don't know if they all attended the same school because how is it possible that every child could relate to the same story about their mother.
Just randomly start a conversation about your mother with your friends or even strangers and you would see some similarities between them.
When we were younger and I annoyed father. In his rage, he would want to discipline me, so he would get a cane and when he starts flogging me. My mum would come and add mouth. Just adding coal to the fire.
Honey can you imagine that this boy has not done anything today. Since morning he has been playing and watching the television.
And my Father, would get more angry and explode more.
Oh African mother's are really unique species of people.
So, Adanna sitting down at the sitting room, on her favorite spot, watching an episode of a movie. In this movie, the actor was telling a story about a French parent he met on one cruise he embarked on.
They were all having fun, till a magician came out and told them that he would blow their mind. And of course, he did. He announced that he was a snake charmer.
So, he brought out a cobra snake and was doing this little trick whereby, he would make a sound and when the snake strikes, he would dodge the attack.
He kept at it for a while and all the guest were thrilled till it all went wrong. His lip was on fire because of the mistake. Everyone was so scared and had questions.
Is the charmer going to be okay? And lots more.
The charmer had to run back inside his room and that was when they all realized that he forgot his snake.
You see, a mother would jump into the fire, if it meant saving her sons life. This fact mother's every where have that in common. So, Adanna watched how the mother quickly ran to the front chair to save her child who was so scared of the snake.
He was so scared that he couldn't stand up to even run but the mother ran into the fire and scooped him to safety.
"Are you okay, Paul? Are you hurt? I love you my boy, i love you so much" she said while hugging him tightly.
That was a very touching story Adanna thought to herself. But she couldn't help but notice that the story had a different outcome when it was her turn.
Adanna had joined her elder brother and some kids to play the football. While the fun was going on, Julius kicked the ball so had that it crossed the main road.
Adanna was told to go pick it up because she was the closest to it.
So, she looked to her right and left and saw no car coming and a few witnesses also testified the same.
She crossed the road and all of a sudden a car came out from no where and almost hit her.
The chewwwwwww sound was so loud that everybody turned so fearful but was relieved when they saw that Adanna was okay.
Mama Adanna quickly rushed and scooped Adanna to safety. The worry in her eyes was so palpable. She hugged Adanna tightly and told her i love you my daughter, Are you hurt? Are you okay?
I hope you didn't believe the last paragraph. So, if i told you an African mother did this, just know that a white woman trained that mother.
An African mother would never do that, you can take it to the bank.
In fact, it is only an African mother that would beat you for almost dying.
This is how it rightly happened.
Adanna's mum scooped her to safety and started beating her for almost dying.
"If you had stayed in the house, would this have happened to you" she screamed.
Adanna couldn't believe that the blame was now on her. This wasn't how the story was meant to end. She expected a different outcome like what she saw in the movies.
Welcome home Adanna

Lol, this is 100% fact. This had me laughing because its so real. African mothers love hard, you almost die and instead of getting comfort, next thing you know you're dodging slippers. Our mothers love hard. This story triggered me because its relatable.
