On this occasion, I'd like to answer question 2 from community contest number 279: Coffee or tea? Tell me which you prefer and how you like to prepare it. I hope you enjoy it 😊🫶🏻✨.

De antemano, quiero desearles a todas un feliz Día de la Mujer atrasado y espero que hayan pasado nuestro maravilloso día de manera excelente. En esta grata oportunidad, quiero contestar la pregunta del concurso comunitario número 279, pregunta 2: ¿Café o té? Dime cuál prefieres y cómo te gusta prepararlo. Espero que les agrade😊🫶🏻✨.

Personally, I love coffee; it's my favorite drink. I'm not a big tea fan, not because of the taste, but because coffee has a very deep and sentimental meaning for me. I've been drinking it for as long as I can remember, since my family are coffee lovers; we've all been drinking coffee since we were little, around ten years old. Coffee means many things, but the main ones are tradition and discipline. Tradition, because in my house the first thing we do, besides brushing our teeth, is have a good cup of hot coffee before breakfast; and discipline, because it's what signals the start of the day.

En lo personal, amo el café; es mi bebida favorita. No soy muy amante del té, no por su sabor, sino porque el café tiene para mí un significado bastante sentimental y profundo. Lo tomo desde que tengo uso de razón, ya que mi familia es cafetera; todos tomamos café desde pequeños, aproximadamente desde los diez años. El café significa muchas cosas, pero la principal es tradición y disciplina. Tradición, porque en mi casa lo primero que se hace, aparte de cepillarse los dientes, es tomar una buena taza de café caliente antes de desayunar; y disciplina, porque es lo que anuncia el comienzo del día.

And besides all this, coffee has been my companion on nights when I have to stay up late studying, on early mornings when I have to rush off to university, and on busy afternoons when work gets intense. I always have a coffee to accompany my good and bad moments. Coffee wakes me up, it energizes me. I take it with sugar; I like coffee with sugar, although at this stage of my life I also drink it without sugar, since I need energy, and sometimes I'd even bite a wire if necessary. I prepare it simply: I put four tablespoons of coffee in the coffeemaker, with plenty of sugar. Sometimes I add milk, but I like it piping hot. It awakens all my senses, and the aroma is absolutely exquisite.

Y, además de todo esto, el café me ha acompañado en las noches en las que debo quedarme hasta tarde estudiando, en las madrugadas en las que he tenido que salir hacia la universidad, en los mediodías y tardes cuando el trabajo se vuelve intenso. Siempre acompaño mis buenos y malos momentos con un café. El café me despierta, me activa. Lo tomo con azúcar; me gusta el café con azúcar, aunque en esta etapa de mi vida también lo tomo sin azúcar, ya que necesito energía, y hasta a veces mordería un cable si fuera necesario. Lo preparo de manera sencilla: echo cuatro cucharadas de café en la cafetera, cargadito de azúcar. A veces le añado leche, pero me gusta que esté bien caliente. Activa todos los sentidos y el aroma es totalmente exquisito.

The truth is, of all my drinks, my favorite will always be coffee. I'm happy with it, and I believe coffee soothes sorrows, helps you make decisions, and accompanies those extraordinary insights that sometimes come out of nowhere. You can also share it with loved ones, smooth things over with someone; in short, it has countless uses. In the Venezuelan context, coffee is a tradition of the people, made here with much love and care, passed down from generation to generation. Not all coffee beans taste the same, just as there are many ways to prepare it. Every cup of coffee from every home is different and carries a genetic energy passed down through generations that you can't even imagine. I think if you asked me what drink represents Venezuela and its people, I would definitely say it's coffee. In fact, when you visit, the first thing they offer you is a small cup of coffee with bread.

La verdad es que, de todas mis bebidas, mi favorita siempre será el café. Soy feliz con él y creo que el café alivia las penas, te ayuda a tomar decisiones y acompaña esas reflexiones extraordinarias que uno a veces puede tener de la nada. También lo puedes compartir con tus seres queridos, arreglar una situación desagradable con alguien; en fin, tiene muchísimos usos. En el contexto venezolano, el café es una tradición de los pueblos, hecho aquí con mucho amor y cariño, pasado de generación en generación. No todos los granos de café saben igual, al igual que existen muchas maneras de prepararlo. Cada café de cada casa es diferente y va cargado con una energía genética de generaciones que no se pueden imaginar. Creo que si me preguntaran qué bebida representa a Venezuela y a su gente, definitivamente diría que es el café. De hecho, cuando uno va de visita, lo primero que te ofrecen es una tacita de café con pan.
