People have thought that being dedicated to the wellbeing of future generations should include fighting to the death.
In truth, what is required is dedication to evolving humanity into lasting peace.

I'm not optimistic enough to believe that's gonna happen. As long as Free Will exist there will be conflict, and as long as there's conflict, violence will always be an option.

I don't see an everlasting peace without the elimination of Free Will

Would be happy to be proven wrong, though.

The truth is the complete opposite. The conflicts have stemmed from mistaken suppression of free will. The will has not been free in people and so they do not have sufficient power or balance.

I mean, some people in power are using their Free Will to abuse the power, right?

these people can only do what they do because their 'victims' are denying their own will the ability to move and respond freely.
it's an ancient power struggle so old that many don't even think it can heal, but it can.

absolutely. everyone has partial responsibility and eventually will need to free their own will in order to open space for their own reality to form as they need it to.

The problem is there are always people who want to impose their will on others.

And there are always people who refuse to be subjected to the will of others.

From there, conflict ensues.

the intent to override others is a problem, yes. so too is the intent to override part of self. the more we deny our own free will internally, the conflict exists and the more we encounter it.
