Evidence suggests the left nostril is often more dominant and open, particularly in right-handed individuals.
This is part of nasal cycling, where one nostril is usually more open than the other and they typically switch every few hours

I think it has to do with the balancing pressures.
yeah that tracks with the pressure thing, never really thought about it before
