From Doubt to Belief: Arsenal’s Statement Win That Changed My Mind

‎If I'm been honest, I was one of those who had quietly written Arsenal off. Not completely, but enough to doubt whether they had that final push in them this season. But football has a funny way of humbling your opinions, and their dominant 3:0 victory over Fulham in the premier league week 34 did exactly that to me.

‎Arsenal played like a team with a point to prove from the very first whistle. There was urgency, confidence, and most importantly, control. Before the first half even ended, the game was already decided. A first half brace from Viktor Gyökeres and a goal from Bukayo Saka stepped up in style, combining precision and composure to put three goals past Fulham. It was not just about scoring but it was how easily they did it. Everything looked fluid, almost effortless.

‎That first-half blitz sealed all three points and pushed Arsenal six points clear of Manchester City. Yes, City still have two games in hand, and that is a huge factor, but pressure in football is not always about mathematics but it’s psychological. Right now, the weight has shifted. Manchester City are the ones who must respond, who must chase, who must avoid slipping even once.

‎What really impressed me the most was not just the scoreline, but the maturity Arsenal showed. In previous moments this season, they might have taken their foot off the gas or allowed the game to become unnecessarily tense. But this time, they managed it professionally. They got the job done early and never looked back.

‎For Arsenal, the equation is now simple and that's to win the remaining matches and hope for the best. Though, it is not entirely in their hands, but they have given themselves a real fighting chance. And sometimes, that is all you need in a title race like this. A momentum and belief.

‎This result could not have come at a better time either. With a crucial Champions League second leg game against Atlético Madrid just days away, confidence is everything. Wins like this don’t just add points to the table but they inject belief into the squad as well. They remind players of what they’re capable of when everything clicks.

‎I didn’t expect Arsenal to make it look this easy, and maybe that’s why this victory feels so significant. It was not just three points but it was a statement. Now the real question is can they carry this same energy into Europe?

‎If they can, then maybe just maybe I was wrong to doubt them.
