Web 3.0 semantic web explained

I can imagine that many of you are asking what Web 3.0 semantic web or Web 3.0 is and how it is going to change your life?

So, we are all on the same page, let us start with what we are using in our daily lives, which is the internet. We use it for almost everything in our lives from paying bills, booking holidays and finding information to name but a few.

It works by transmitting data in packets from one computer to another using protocols called Internet Protocol (IP) and Transmission Control Protocol (TCP).

However, Web 3.0 in simple forms brings back control to the user. This control comes in the form of individual control of personal data and your cryptocurrency held on a decentralised blockchain.

Define web 3.0 new order

Web 3.0 is for sure a new vision of how the world works. At the moment your personal data is being shared or sold all over the world every time you access your social media accounts. Fortunately, Web 3.0 translates correctly what you type and understand what you mean whether you choose to text or use other media. At the same time the content of your view will be more personalised than ever before. Of course, the internet as we know it now will still have its role to play, however like anything the evolutionary track of the internet must move forward or become irreverent. That evolution is called Web 3.0 and if you don’t know what that means it is time you found out.

Learn Web 3.0 basics

I am sharing this article with my mailing list. In most cases they have never heard or know little about any Web 3.0 projects hence I am keeping it simple. So, forgive me for those reading this content on CtpTalk or any other Web 3.0 blockchain projects who were expecting something more involved.

The concept of Web 3.0 is that you as an individual can communicate with others directly. This is because the user is a part of a Decentralised Autonomous Organization (DAO).This means that even though someone can contact you unless you want them to know who you are you can keep your personal data to yourself.

In addition, any transactions and interactions via devices, individuals and services can be achieved with a centralised governance or third party. To make Web 3.0 more interesting is that it is built on open-source software.

An interesting aspect of the Web 3.0 concept is like the blockchain; it is a trustless system. This basically means that your data is secure because if you lose your access codes or addresses it is lost forever. You can not ask someone to send you new information, because it is a decentralised system meaning there is no-one to send it.

Where is my personal data stored?

It will be somewhere on the blockchain network. Your personal data belongs to you and only you and will be available on a smart contract. The contract will be on a decentralised network controlled by nodes.
