So the project I'm involved with at work just hired a very expensive consulting firm (one of the big 4) to support the project. After seeing them work for some time my impression was that they were doing fuck all for the project.
Today in one internal meeting I heard the following feedback regarding that firm: "I'd like them to help us more than we are helping them"

Pretty typical in my experience.
Sounds like classic consulting overhead – paying big for the privilege of hand-holding them. Reminds me why I focus on self-directed investing; no middleman eating into the gains. Stick to what builds real value
