Once a week, set aside an afternoon to pause reactive work and analyze whether effort is focused on high-yield areas:
Which 20% of customers, products, or regions generate 80% of the profit?
Which factors could explain these results?
Invest in replicating the few strong areas instead of trying to fix every weakness
It can be applied in reverse too... the last 20% of a project would require 80% of the overall effort. You can release it with 80% of quality without that effort, but then you'd lose to someone who put that extra effort to reach the 100%... Or something like that...
yeah that tracks - shipping at 80% gets you moving but yeah the polish matters for standing out
