2024 - 1 Goldback - New Hampshire

Absence

I'm not really active at the moment due to my back being a literal pain in the past weeks and on top of that my daughter is home ill all week and now I'm dealing with a sore throat on top. Sadly it meant we had to cancel tonight's plans of another network opportunity but such is life, I guess.

I think I found it even worse that my second Yoga class could not continue because I simply fear every movement some days, I really hope next week starts off much better and that I have enough confidence to continue the classes. Although I had pain in muscles I didn't even know existed after the first class, I quite enjoyed not thinking about anything and being present in the moment. I found an amazing yoga teacher at the last network event and I hope I can pick up where I left in the next week.

Back to the Goldbacks

As soon it's time to start sharing a wish list for secret Santa, let me take this opportunity to share my final Goldback note, a 1 GB note from New Hampshire from 2024. I think each note (I have 3 now) is quite amazing in their own way, the more I look at this one, the more I start to appreciate this one as well.

This is the 1/1000 Oz golden back of the note. I mean they all look alike but it never gets boring looking at some golden stuff, right?

Wish list

I'm going to sort out my favourite silver items that I bookmarked and try to share one or two of my desired silver rounds in the next period because oof, it's already November! Can you believe it? Time flew by way faster as expected and I now still feel like I'm trying to do everything last minute in terms of creating a wish list for Christmas (for the family and silver family) as well as thinking of what to give myself.

No time to waste, I guess!

My yoga teacher sent me a video with some exercises that I should be able to do safely. Going to give that a try an hope for improvement next week as I'm caught off guard a bit by the radiation pain that has returned since quite a long time now. I still had back pain before it left in summer, and it was bad many days but the radiation part was gone quite some time.

This winter I must improve and shake off the meds again. I didn't take any yesterday, so I guess every day is a win!

That reminds me of a time I had injured my back earlier in my Nursing career. Winter weather wasn't very kind to my recovery. I learned to be very careful walking anywhere that was slippery with ice. A non-fall slip brought me back to square one re-injuring my lower back pain, and back on the stronger anti-inflamatory medication.

Oh winter is often very hard on the recovery, I remember the same thing when I slid from the stairs the first night in Spain it had rained so badly that I was not prepared and rushed to the bus station. Instead I fell not many meters from the front door and had a back injury that was very hard to deal with all winter (it was cold in the Granada region and our apartment was even worse lol)..

Once spring appeared, I healed rapidly.. not forever it always remained a sensitive spot but here in this area winter isn't as strong..

Did the part of your back you injured back then heal fully? I used to think that my back pains from last year (and now) were caused by the spot I injured at the time but I don't think it's the same part.. I definitely didn't have a hernia at the time either..

PS almost secret Santa drawing, I'm so excited!!!!

Lumbar sacral region of my spine including Iliac-sacral, I'd say about 95 to 98% better and every once in a while it will remind me that it's still there that feels like a little jab.
It was quite an effort to get anywhere on foot. I remember that just getting up out of bed was an exercise in patience.

Is this one of the ones from Summertooth? It’s great that he organized the group buy.

Hope your back pain lessens soon. I have had bouts of back pain over the years and it is so debilitating. ❤️

Yes, it is indeed. I ordered 3 of them. I think they are really cool! It amazes me how they can add some precious metals (even just a little) to these notes.. Little pieces of art is what they are..

I hope so too as the two summer months that I was swimming a lot (the community pool opened in summer only) my pain vanished, I didn't need any meds, nothing. After having so much pain for 9 months that was amazing to experience.

Slowly but steadily, the pain has returned and in full force with radiation. I'm now trying to be very aware of my posture because a normal posture doesn't feel normal anymore so I learned recently.

Oh well, I didn't need any meds yesterday so I guess it's a win every time that happens :)
