What role does money play in an AI economy 10–100x larger than the human economy? Steelman the case

Money is required among humans because of limited trust, the need to hoard resources, and coordination problems

Money would only be necessary for AI if:

  1. There is a multipolar AI future (multiple AIs that don’t trust each other)
but a winner-take-all outcome would leave the dominant AI trusting itself
  2. There is latency between capturing margin and deploying it
but AIs will operate and act near light-speed

AIs only need energy, compute, and data (hardware)

Money is only required if captured value must sit as a non-hardware resource before deployment

Hence, money may not be needed for AI
