Fear and curiosity #monomad

समुदाय के प्यारे सदस्यों को नमस्कार। मुझे आशा है कि आप सभी अच्छे होंगे और अपने प्रियजनों के साथ गुणवत्तापूर्ण समय का आनंद ले रहे है।

It was around 10.30 in the morning and I was standing in the balcony letting the day arrive at its own pace. Sunlight fell sharply on the tin roof across cutting the scene into light and shadow. That’s when I noticed them the cats sitting there quietly almost like part of the structure itself.

सुबह करीब 10.30 बजे का समय था और मैं बालकनी में खड़ी थी दिन को अपनी रफ्तार से आने दे रही थी। सामने की टीन की छत पर तेज धूप पड़ रही थी दृश्य को रोशनी और साये में बाँट रही थी। तभी मैंने उन्हें देखा बिल्लियाँ वहाँ चुपचाप बैठी हुई लगभग उसी ढांचे का हिस्सा लग रही थीं।

Below the dogs moved around loud and confident. Up here the cats watched. Scared but curious. Their bodies were still but their eyes kept following every sound every movement. They didn’t run. They didn’t look away. Just alert careful keeping an eye while pretending not to care.

नीचे कुत्ते घूम रहे थे तेज़ और आत्मविश्वास से भरे हुए। ऊपर यहाँ बिल्लियाँ देख रही थीं। डरी हुई लेकिन जिज्ञासु। उनके शरीर स्थिर थे लेकिन उनकी आँखें हर आवाज़ हर हरकत का पीछा कर रही थीं। वे न भागीं। न नज़रें हटाईं। बस सतर्क सावधान हर चीज़ पर नज़र रखते हुए जैसे उन्हें कोई फर्क ही न पड़ता हो।

She was already familiar with me she had definitely seen me earlier just not made it obvious. A few minutes later she finally acknowledged it lifting her head and looking straight at me letting me know she had been aware of my presence all along.

वह मुझे पहले से जानती थी उसने मुझे पहले ही देख लिया था बस इसे ज़ाहिर नहीं किया था। कुछ मिनट बाद उसने आखिरकार यह साफ़ कर दिया सिर उठाकर सीधे मेरी ओर देखा जैसे यह बताने के लिए कि वह शुरू से ही मेरी मौजूदगी को महसूस कर रही थी।

It feels like a visual story these pictures quietly tell. A moment where fear and curiosity exist in the same space without conflict. Nothing dramatic happens no one moves too fast it is just observation. Watching watching back and letting the moment stay exactly as it is.

यह एक तरह की दृश्य कहानी है जो ये तस्वीरें चुपचाप बयां करती हैं। एक ऐसा पल जहाँ डर और जिज्ञासा एक ही जगह में साथ मौजूद हैं बिना टकराव के। कुछ भी नाटकीय नहीं होता कोई जल्दबाज़ी नहीं होती बस देखना है और देखे जाना है और उस पल को वैसा ही रहने देना है जैसा वह है।
