Between what it was and what it’s becoming.#monomad

Greetings lovely members of the community. I hope you all are doing great and enjoying quality time with your loved ones.

समुदाय के प्यारे सदस्यों को नमस्कार। मुझे आशा है कि आप सभी अच्छे होंगे और अपने प्रियजनों के साथ गुणवत्तापूर्ण समय का आनंद ले रहे है।

The place where I usually go for my walks used to have a dirt path. I always liked it..it felt simple, open, and close to nature. Recently, the path has been widened, and some of the trees around it have been cut. It looks different now, and it feels like it may eventually become a proper, metalled road. When I went there after many days, I was surprised to see a huge machine standing right in front of me. I knew road construction was planned, but seeing it happen in real time felt very different. This was the machine shaping the new road.

जहाँ मैं आमतौर पर टहलने जाया करती हूँ, वहाँ पहले एक कच्चा रास्ता हुआ करता था। मुझे वह हमेशा पसंद था।वह सरल, खुला और प्रकृति के क़रीब लगता था। हाल ही में उस रास्ते को चौड़ा कर दिया गया है और आसपास के कुछ पेड़ भी काटे गए हैं। अब वह जगह पहले से अलग दिखाई देती है, और ऐसा लगता है कि आगे चलकर यह एक पक्का, मेटल रोड बन सकता है।कई दिनों बाद जब मैं वहाँ गई, तो सामने एक बहुत बड़ी मशीन खड़ी देखकर मैं चौंक गई। मुझे पता था कि सड़क का निर्माण होने वाला है, लेकिन उसे अपनी आँखों के सामने होते देखना बिल्कुल अलग एहसास था। वही मशीन इस नए रास्ते को आकार दे रही थी।

A few people were standing nearby. Some seemed pleased, possibly because the village down the hill will now have a bus service and easier access. Others were quieter, simply observing the changes taking place. It was interesting to notice how the same development meant different things to different people.

वहाँ पास ही कुछ लोग खड़े थे। कुछ के चेहरे पर संतोष दिखाई दे रहा था, शायद इसलिए कि पहाड़ी के नीचे बसे गाँव को अब बस सेवा और बेहतर पहुँच मिल पाएगी। वहीं कुछ लोग शांत थे, बस हो रहे बदलावों को देख रहे थे। यह देखना दिलचस्प था कि एक ही विकास अलग-अलग लोगों के लिए अलग मायने रखता है।

I decided to walk upwards. The hillside where the cutting had been done was still settling, with loose soil sliding down now and then, so I walked carefully. People who earlier parked their vehicles below had now parked them in small side spots, adjusting to the new layout.

मैंने ऊपर की ओर चलने का फ़ैसला किया। जहाँ पहाड़ी की कटाई हुई थी, वहाँ ज़मीन अभी भी जम रही थी और बीच-बीच में ढीली मिट्टी सरक रही थी, इसलिए मैं संभलकर चल रही थी। जो लोग पहले नीचे गाड़ियाँ पार्क करते थे, उन्होंने अब रास्ते के किनारे छोटे-छोटे स्थानों में अपनी गाड़ियाँ खड़ी कर दी थीं, नए बने ढांचे के अनुसार खुद को ढालते हुए।

In the end, there was a striking, cinematic moment..a girl walking down the hill. The scene felt calm and reflective, capturing a moment of transition and movement.

आख़िर में एक बेहद सिनेमैटिक सा पल था।एक लड़की पहाड़ी से नीचे उतरती हुई। पूरा दृश्य शांत और सोच में डूबा हुआ लगा, जैसे उस जगह के बदलते रूप और निरंतर बहते समय।
