I agree, but I have to remind myself that Bitcoin isn't a value preserver like Gold. Its value depends on people's perception of its future, and the risk-proofing of the algorithm. Theoretically, its value should go up for the foreseeable future, but its less likely than Gold to stay above it's current value in a year or two.
