I am thinking about investing in a small chicken farm or poultry. Maybe about 10 or 20 for a start. I have a detached store in my compound that's not in use, and I think the place will be good to keep the chickens.

That's a good idea. Poultry business is good if you can have time to feed them well.
My parents had a poultry with about 300 laying Hens when I was much younger, my primary school days. Watching them laying eggs and picking them was fun.
They produced over 60 crates of eggs (30 eggs in a crate) weekly. It was good business and we had eggs and fresh chickens to consume.
Some of the eggs were extremely large with 2 yolks in them.
If you have the time and money, you can go ahead.
