I'm beginning to remember why I didn't pursue a career in engineering. All of the calculations can look intimidating, but in reality they're relatively simple if you don't drown yourself in formulas. Fun physics review!

Thanks for this comment. For me, physics can be divided into two parts:
1- Fundamental concepts
2- Formulas
Even just knowing the concepts is sometimes exciting.
In this post, I explain sliding distance, a concept that is closely linked to the concept of friction and wear in mechanical systems. This concept has very important applications, such as in the construction of brakes and clutches. Could you ever imagine a car going 150 km/h, but struggling to brake because the sliding and friction calculations were wrong?
