The Pain of Being Cheated and the Lesson to Always Verify.

One thing I hate most is when people try to cheat others and they still stand on the fact that they are not wrong. We all know how it feels when one gets cheated and he or she does not have anyone to fight for him or her. I could remember some time ago, when a sister of mine had this issue about being cheated by someone older than her. Normally, I was supposed to stay back and just watch. But I couldn't because it was a money matter, and the medium through which the money got away from her wasn't a pure one. So I could stand in for her.

In the world we are in today, due to the current situation in the country, most people make use of the chance that many people just want to get a better life; they feel like they just have to cheat or scam people out of their own money because they feel most people are so desperate to get things done. I was the one trying to play it safe and preventing people from getting into any trouble, but now it looks like I am facing one recently, which is making me upset and enraged.

Let me just share a brief account of what happened. I met a client who was supposed to get work done for me, and for the fact that it came from a trusted source, I relied on them and gave them the money without getting a receipt for the payment, which they promised to give. Along the line, I met with the original owner of the investment I paid for, and I was told that the money was not remitted to the company while I was still awaiting a receipt. Now the owner claims that I have to get a way to get a refund if I want any deal to stand, and now those I sent money to are not ready to pay me back.

Now, as it stands, for the fact I was lied to and also scammed, I decided to involve the military personnel that will look into the case and get back my money for me. This is not just money I got on a free will, but I have worked so hard for it because I need what I paid for. But now I am hoping that the issues will get resolved soon so that I can be able to get my goods and rest assured that I am now in safe hands. One thing I want to tell us now is to always verify every detail we get before we make any deal or do any transaction about money with anyone.

One thing I have come to know is that money is a kind of asset that, once you allow it into another person's custody, it will be very hard for you to recover it because most people lose themselves when it comes to money, and that is why I will never advise anyone to lend anyone any money they can't afford to lose. Trade wisely and don't get stuck in between.
