The Importance of Selective Company: A Lesson from Eid al-Adha Celebrations.

It is always said that you should not follow the crowd in whatever you do. Whenever you hear this statement, it is in your own interest not to follow the crowd at all because nothing that is involved with the crowd is ever successful. A crowd will not only destroy what you have made, but they will also not make you achieve the aim you have planned for. When you do things that involve crowds, they will only do what is called following what the masses say, and one of these is destruction.

Today happens to be the celebrations of Eid al-Adha Mubarak for the Muslim brothers, and as it stands, there will be much celebration, and I can just withstand letting those celebrations go like that without visiting any of my Muslim friends, so after service in church, I went back home and I told some of my friends that we should go out and have fun with the Muslim brothers. But while we were talking, some people heard, and they decided to follow us. As for me, I am not a fan of crowds because I know that when things get rowdy, you won't be able to do what you are supposed to do.

But some of my friends agree that they should follow us. When we got to the person's house we were going to, we were told to sit down to eat, and they were serving food. But before the food could get to where I was, it had finished because those we took ate twice without considering the others that hadn't eaten. I was annoyed, and I was regretting why I allowed them to follow us after they did what they did; they still left where they were seated to come join us at our table.

I started to get upset, and I told them not to come close because it was nonsense. After some time, they had to leave after eating, and we didn't get to eat. I was even more annoyed because of this, but I didn't say anything. But where will God reward us? The son came and gave us some food and drink that was different from theirs. I feel this was compensation for us.
