Homeward Bound: A Christmas Journey of Rediscovery

In the process of celebrating Christmas, many people have traveled all around the world to celebrate with their loved ones and families. What I saw today made me believe that, toward the end of the year, many people from different parts of the world, both at home and abroad, will gather around to celebrate Christmas. In the process of this celebration, a lot of things will happen, and many parents will be so happy to see that their children are doing well and fine.

Today, as it used to be, my parents always want me to always follow them to church because they do not want a situation where we will come back home and be going to a different church from theirs. Although I go to a separate church from the one they go to, they always want us to follow them to church so that they can be proud of the kind of children they have raised.

Without arguing, I accepted to follow them to church so that they would be so happy and then there wouldn't be any complaints. Getting to church this morning, I felt so different and disconnected from everyone because it has been a long while and everything looked so new to me, and I was even feeling like a stranger. Well, it's normal because I am not used to them anymore, and today was very fun to be able to unite with other friends.

A lot of people embraced me and were so excited to see me because it had been years since I had been there. A lot of things have changed within the little time that I have left, and now it feels as if I was just brought to this place, and I feel so new. The purpose of me sharing this is because I feel so honored today and I learned a lesson, which is that in life, people celebrate success. When you are successful in whatever you do, people will celebrate you. Not just you, but the success you have been able to achieve.

Tomorrow happens to be the 25th here, and it is known for the celebration of Christmas. Many people have been putting a lot of things in place for the celebration that will commence today because, for some people, their celebration has started, and they will have fun till the beginning of the new year that is yet to come. It feels good to be back home after a long time to celebrate with my family.
