From Frustration to Relief: A Night I Won't Forget.

Having an emergency is something I do not really like so much, especially when it's in the middle of the night. I have come to notice that most unforeseen situations happen at night when we do not expect it, or probably when we are sleeping. That is why I try my best to ensure that my phone's or anything I know is very important doesn't go off at night, so that I will always be prepared for any sort of emergency that wants to happen. But sometimes some just come unaware, and even when it happens, you will not know what to do at that point in time.

Last night, I was indoors, and I had plans to sleep late, actually, because I had a very tight schedule and I could not finish all the things I was doing on time. So I had to plan everything till night and work with time as soon as possible. When it got to exactly 11 p.m., I got a call from a friend who had stayed in our apartments before but had left, and he told me to check on someone in the other room because the person was unconscious.

At first, I could not hear well, and I had to hang up because I was falling asleep already. The call came in again about 3 times, and I was able to hear what he was saying clearly. But when he called, I was doubting the call because how can someone who stays in the same apartment not notify those he is staying with but instead choose to call someone from outside to notify those on the inside?

I stood up immediately and took my phone with me to use as a headlight. Immediately, I opened the door to go and check on this person, who was unconscious. I already met him lying helplessly on the ground, not even in his room, and he was feeling so hot, even beyond the normal temperature. I was scared, and at that point, I was wondering if he had not fought with some people, and they were still hanging around. Likewise, I called the other flatmate to come outside so it wouldn't be only me.

Immediately, we reached out to the ambulance to come rescue him because we knew nothing to do at that moment, and we had to follow them to the hospital so that they could take his details and attend to him. After they had attended to him, and he had been resting, I and the other person that took him there decided to take our leave, and immediately we left the hospital and when we got to their main gate the security said they won't allow us to go home.

I thought they were joking, we were getting angry because why would they say they wouldn't allow us to go after they saw the ambulance coming in at night? It was already 2.30 am, and we were still outside staring at the gate, and we could not come back to our house to rest. I was getting annoyed, and I was regretting what happened to the person because I risked my own life at that time, and I was never thinking about what would happen in the middle of the night.

After waiting for so long, we decided to find a solution for ourselves by looking for a way to pass through another way so we could go home to rest. And later, by 3 am, we got to a place we went to pas that led us to the main road, and the ambulance didn't even think of taking us back to some part of the road, but I was happy I finally got home after going through that much stress over the night.
