I agree with you. An airdrop newbie adventurer specifically asked not to be associated with telegram airdrops any longer. It is rather troubling.
I have been doing testnets and airdrops for a long time. Whilst the tg apps were great onboarding people to crytpo they will have a sour taste in their mouth. Unless you have loads and I mean loads of referrals they will get next to nothing compared to the time invested.
I prefer testnets and stakedrops!
