Why Blazebeard Merc Is Worth Every Mana

Today I'm back with another post where Ill be talking about an amazing monster card from Splinterlands called Blazebeard Merc

This is an Epic Fire monster from the Conclave Arcana set At first glance its 3 mana cost might make it look like a weak card but don't let that fool you It has some excellent strengths that make it one of the best low mana frontline monsters in the game

At level 1 Blazebeard Merc has 2 melee attack 3 speed 7 armor and 4 health These are impressive stats for a monster that only costs 3 mana Its biggest strength is its massive armor which allows it to absorb a lot of physical damage while the rest of your team attacks the enemy In many battles surviving longer is just as important as dealing damage and this card does that job extremely well

The reason this card stands out is its incredible value for such a low mana cost In low mana battles every mana point matters and Blazebeard Merc gives you amazing durability for only 3 mana If you place it in the first position it can keep the enemy busy while your other monsters safely attack from behind and eliminate the opposing team
Blazebeard Merc has four amazing abilities that make it a very powerful monster in battle.
The first ability is Charge

This ability allows the monster to use its melee attack from any position on your team instead of only attacking from the front.

The second ability is Piercing

With Piercing if the attack deals more damage than the enemy's armor can absorb the remaining damage passes through the broken armor and directly reduces the enemy's health.
The third ability is Bloodlust

Whenever Blazebeard Merc defeats an enemy monster all of its stats increase by 1 including its attack speed armor and health making it even stronger as the battle continues.
The fourth ability is Incendiary

Starting from Round 2 there is a 33% chance at the beginning of each round that a monster will become Burning Once a monster is Burning the effect can spread to other monsters making it a dangerous ability that puts continuous pressure on the enemy team.

Its speed of 3 is another advantage It can attack fairly early and has a better chance of dodging slower enemies making it even more effective on the battlefield

Blazebeard Merc performs very well against both melee and ranged teams because its heavy armor can absorb several attacks before its health starts to drop However like most heavily armored monsters it has one weakness Magic attacks usually ignore armor and deal damage directly to health so magic heavy teams can be difficult to face

To get the best performance from this card it's a good idea to pair it with monsters that provide healing armor repair or other defensive support These abilities help keep Blazebeard Merc alive for much longer allowing it to protect your team throughout the battle

This monster is especially powerful in rulesets like Little League where only monsters with a mana cost of four or less can be used It also performs well in battles that increase monster health or favor melee combat

I recommend using Blazebeard Merc as your primary tank and placing a high damage attacker behind it While Blazebeard Merc absorbs enemy attacks your damage dealer can safely eliminate the opposing monsters

Overall Blazebeard Merc is an excellent low cost tank that offers great survivability along with respectable offensive power It's hard to find another 3 mana monster that can absorb this much damage which makes it a valuable addition to any Fire team

If we talk about its current market price only Level 1 and Level 6 copies are available at the moment Level 1 costs around 27 cents while Level 6 is priced at approximately 12 dollars and 41 cents
