As a teacher, the beginning of every school year always brings a mix of excitement and anticipation. But this year, Brigada Eskwela 2025–2026 offered something even more meaningful—it allowed me to work side by side with the parents of my new students before classes officially began.

From the very first day of Brigada Eskwela, I witnessed the eagerness of parents to contribute to our shared goal: to create a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment for their children. Some came in with cleaning supplies, others brought tools, paint, and even snacks for fellow volunteers. With laughter, shared stories, and lots of teamwork, our empty classroom slowly transformed into a colorful, organized, and inspiring space.

It was more than just a cleaning drive. It was the first step in building a strong partnership between home and school. I got to know the faces behind the names of my incoming students—the mothers who carefully wiped down every chair, the fathers who fixed broken shelves, and the guardians who offered to donate materials. Each one had a story, and each one had a deep desire to be involved in their child's education.

As we worked together under the sun, I saw the beauty of community spirit. Brigada Eskwela reminded me that education is not just a job I do in the classroom—it's a shared responsibility, and when parents are involved, learning becomes even more powerful.

This experience gave me hope and motivation for the year ahead. With the support of these wonderful parents, we can guide their children not just to academic success but to become kind, responsible, and confident individuals.

Brigada Eskwela is more than just a week of cleaning and repairing classrooms—it's a symbol of unity, volunteerism, and shared responsibility in education. Every year, before the school year begins, teachers, parents, students, and community members come together to prepare the school environment for learning.

This program strengthens the connection between the school and the community. It reminds us that education is not just the responsibility of teachers but of everyone who cares about the future of children. Through simple acts like sweeping, painting, or donating materials, Brigada Eskwela shows how collective effort can create a significant impact.

Most importantly, it builds a sense of pride and ownership in every stakeholder. When the community works hand in hand, students feel more motivated, and schools become safer, cleaner, and more inspiring places to learn.
