Police found the remains under a "large patched area" in Sullivan's family's two-car garage, about 28 miles north of Boston. The body was wrapped in plastic. While not formally identified yet, Kloppenburg's uncle says investigators are "100% positive" it's her.

Sullivan was friends with Kloppenburg and she'd been to his Tyngsborough home around the time she vanished. His confession timeline matched her disappearance perfectly — he claimed he shot and buried "Jill" around January 2025.

The victim is believed to be Jill Kloppenburg, 47, last seen leaving her Lowell home on Jan. 2, 2025. Friends hadn't physically seen her since August 2024, and her last phone activity was Jan. 14, 2025. She was reported missing in February 2025.
