Ramadan is a lunar month, and they can be 29 or 30 days. We determine that by witnessing the New Moon. Tomorrow could've been the 30th of the current month, but the New Moon was witnessed this evening, so it's the 1st of Ramadan instead.

10 years ago, when I was a frequent user of Facebook, I would spend hours engaging with long conversations, (that are mostly productive?) on Facebook groups.

Of course, I didn't join any FB Group, mine were very specific!
