Chose a Lie
Chose a Lie
Don't judge me, you say, but your choices led you here.
You took the wheel, claimed to be free, and chose where to steer.
A hundred reasons, a thousand excuses, I've heard them all before,
The past you had might be to blame, but the responsibility is yours.
No one is above reproach, though shouldn't we all strive?
To be the best we can be, to improve, to grow and thrive.
A corner here and another there, a little easier you strayed,
And here you kneel, begging for the choices you knowingly made.
Tapped away, telling stories that were not yours to tell.
Happy to take praise and reward, for another's word to sell.
You chose a lie, to cover what you did not possess,
And let it spiral outward, vowing never to confess.
To the grave you thought, but death comes in many forms.
And the end of you may by reached, to die in silent storms.
No more words please, no more thoughts, that are not yours at all.
How can you look into the mirror, when you are so very small?
Ouch.

Speaking about lies and liars I think that this was most funny video I have seen in a while:
