500 Years Old Chinese Cypress Garden

Chinese cypress or juniper trees are very popular in ancient gardens and in different parks in the Beijing municipality. Especially, you can find them more in the imperial garden area and in different forest areas that were used for some imperial occasions, such as the Temple of Heaven, Ditan Park, and Jingshan Park, where these trees are abundant in quantity and are also very old, and some of them are more than a thousand years old.

This 500-year-old garden is located in Ditan Park, which is also a historical place in Beijing city, and I found this garden to be more than 500 years old, which is really old. Although not all the trees are the same age, many are from the 15th century. I have found the oldest one in Jingshan Park, which is more than 1400 years old. The oldest tree that I found in Beijing is more than 2000 years old, which is a living legend in Huairou City, where I currently live.

Many of these trees are so tall, and many new trees have been planted recently, so the bottom area is quite dark due to the high density of trees in this area. The sunlight is not seen properly from the most densely planted area of the old garden.

I found so many people roaming around this specific area and exploring these old trees, which have a very long history; it is really amazing to explore here.

I hope you like my photos of these old trees and the old garden in the city park in the Beijing city. If you have any questions, leave them in the comments, and I will do my best to answer.

Thanks a lot for your time and attention. I will catch up with you at the next one. Wishing you a good day!

I took all the photos, and they are my own property.

Wow! 500 years old—that’s amazing! Trees provide us with fresh air and shade when it’s hot. They truly deserve to live a long life. And kudos to your community for taking such great care of the environment, especially these trees. 🤍

Dear @tanzil2024 !
Hassan!
Chinese people believe that the older a tree is, the more likely it is that gods dwell within it!
So, They worship ancient trees like gods!
