The Social Media Highlight Reel

Social media in general is like a highlight reel. Influencers or even like your friends are just showing the best parts of their lives. So this can make it really easy for you to feel behind. Even as myself, I have been able to build a life that I really enjoy living. I still feel that way when I see other people because they're like traveling into fancy locations and fancy yachts while you are also enjoying but everything a little smaller in size. Like whatever other people are doing, you feel like you want to do that too because they're just showing the absolute best parts of that.

They're showing themselves on a boat in the middle of the ocean fishing. They're not showing that they got seasick and they're throwing up out of their eyeballs or that the boat that they're on, they're renting or anything like that. So it's really hard to judge off of social media and that like whole effect that everybody just talks about and shows the best parts of their lives.

Like nobody posts a picture of themselves being like, "Hey, I'm on the couch. I'm eating leftovers from three days ago. And I'm watching the same TV show I've seen three times." But again, like who really cares?

I found like a lot of calm and it really improved my life when I stopped going on social media a lot. Obviously not enough because Social Media is part of me as I really just like consuming other people's content on there as there are a few people who are actually positive. So if you're like feeling behind, maybe try taking a break from social media and instead like try to read some books that will improve your life, your finances, or actually like find a network of people who are also trying to improve their finances and doing different things.

So Bottom Line is Not everything you see in Social Media is Real.
