I don't get the buzz about LSTR, like I can just buy $LEO myself and reinvest the gains in more $LEO. That way it's mine and not owned by someone anonymous.
What's the edge of LSTR besides I have to trust someone anonymous?

I think it's mainly for the people who don't want to worry about doing that. In my opinion, doing it yourself is almost always better, but sometimes people don't to waste brain power on these steps.
I get it that some people prefer to do it more passively but for me owning them myself definitely trumps the ease

The edge is that they take loans and buy more LEO
The same question can be asked about MSTR and similar strategy companies
The reason to buy them is for the leverage. Buying LSTR is buying a leveraged LEO ETF
Okay, that makes sense. Guess my risk appetite just isn't big enough
