These photographs show the robot produced by Tesla.

Description
It was 2021 when Elon Musk presented the Tesla robot to the world for the first time, known as Tesla Bot, but its real name is Optimus.
This robot was built with the intention of performing repetitive, dangerous, or boring tasks for humans. Another long-term goal is for these robots to be able to support both industrial and domestic activities.
I saw it for the first time a few months ago at the Tesla Showroom in Verona.

Latest Project Developments
Recently, modifications have been made to the robot's structure to improve stability. The goal of the latest update was to improve its ability to both walk and maintain balance.
Applications
The applications are currently being tested and proven within some TESLA factories, where Optimus appears to be performing repetitive tasks. Currently, there is no evidence of further testing outside of Tesla.
Production Targets
Tesla's current stated goal is to produce 10,000 Optimus robots by 2025, placing the robot on the market at $20,000.
Onboard Artificial Intelligence
This robot, in addition to being able to perform some tasks similar to humans, is also equipped with artificial intelligence. It is defined as an experiment in embodied AI, meaning an artificial intelligence that physically interacts with the robot's environment.

Thoughts
Tesla's Optimus is one of the most popular projects in the field of humanoid robotics, perhaps the most popular of all. According to some sources, it will have reached a fairly advanced stage of development in 2025. I believe these robots could be very useful in the future for performing jobs that are currently considered extremely dangerous. Unfortunately, there will also be an ethical debate here, regarding how far these robots should be used and where they shouldn't be used.
I was thinking of some fields of application, and perhaps they could be useful in surveillance, or in logistics for moving heavy objects, storing them, etc.

Question
What do you think of this robot? Do you think in 5 years we could see these robots performing tasks typically performed by humans? What could Optimus be useful for?

Era il 2021 quando Elon Musk ha presentato per la prima volta al mondo il robot di Tesla, conosciuto come Tesla Bot, ma il suo vero nome è Optimus.
Questo robot è stato costruito con l’intento di svolgere compiti ripetitivi, pericolosi o noiosi per gli esseri umani. Un’altro obiettivo di lungo termine è quello che questi robot possano supportare attività sia industriali che domestiche.
Io l’ho visto per la prima volta qualche mese fa al Tesla Show room di Verona.

Ultimi sviluppi al progetto
Ultimamente sono state apportate modifiche alla struttura del robot per migliorare la stabilità. L’obiettivo dell’ultimo aggiornamento è stato quello di migliorare la capacità sia di camminare che di mantenere l’equilibrio.
Applicazioni
Attualmente le applicazioni sono state testate e provate all’interno di alcuni stabilimenti TESLA dove sembra che Optimus svolga lavori ripetitivi. Attualmente non c’è traccia di altri test fuori dall’azienda Tesla.
Obiettivi di produzione
Attualmente l’obiettivo dichiarato da Tesla è quello di produrre 10.000 Optimus nel 2025, piazzando il robot sul mercato a 20.000 dollari.
Intelligenza artificiale a bordo
Questo robot, oltre a poter eseguire alcune attività che può eseguire l'uomo, è dotato anche di intelligenza artificiale. Viene definito come esperimento di embodied AI, cioè un’intelligenza artificiale che interagisce fisicamente con l’ambiente che circonda il robot..

Pensieri
Optimus di Tesla è uno dei progetti più popolari nel campo della robotica umanoide, forse il più popolare di tutti. Secondo alcune fonti di informazione nel 2025 ha raggiunto una fase di sviluppo piuttosto avanzata. Io credo che questi robot potranno essere molto utili in futuro per eseguire i lavori che oggi sono definiti estremamente pericolosi. Purtroppo anche qui dovrà aprirsi un dibattito etico, cioè fino a quale punto sarà giusto spingersi e dove non dovranno essere usati questi robot.
Pensavo ad alcuni campi di applicazione e forse potrebbe essere utile nella vigilanza, oppure nella logistica per spostare oggetti pesanti, immagazzinarli, ecc…ecc…

Cosa ne pensate di questo robot? Secondo voi tra 5 anni potremo vedere questi robot svolgere delle attività solitamente svolte dagli umani? A cosa potrebbe essere utile Optimus?
