Why was this tool invented?

In other words, using the Kanban management technique, the customer (internal or external) determines when and how much to produce.

Vi è mai capitato di vedere la sigla JIT? Solitamente la sigla JIT è l'acronimo di Just-In-Time.
Il JIT (Just-In-Time) è una filosofia che mira a ridurre al minimo gli sprechi, inclusi i tempi di attesa e l'eccesso di inventario, producendo solo ciò che è necessario, quando è necessario.

ATTENZIONE: Il Just-In-Time (JIT) non è una tecnica gestionale, ma una filosofia gestionale che si applica lungo tutta la catena del valore, non solo in produzione.

Applicazione
Questa filosofia viene applicata in deversi ambienti aziendali:
-In Produzione (Reparti produttivi)
-Nella Gestione delle Scorte
-Negli Approvvigionamenti (Rapporti con i Fornitori)
-Nella Logistica Interna

I settori tipici in cui viene applicato il Just-In-Time sono l'industria automobilistica, l'industria elettronica, la produzione meccanica e settori con domanda relativamente stabile e prevedibile.

Il poka-yoke (termine corretto giapponese) è uno strumento tipico del Toyota Production System e rientra nella logica della qualità alla fonte.
Il termine Poka-yoke significa letteralmente “a prova di errore”.
Perchè è stato inventato questo strumento?
Provo a spiegare qui di seguito il motivo.
Il poka-joke è utilizzato nel settore del disegno industriale per indicare una scelta progettuale o un'apparecchiatura che, ponendo dei limiti al modo in cui una operazione può essere compiuta, forza l'utilizzatore ad una corretta esecuzione della stessa

In definitiva che cosa è il Poka-yoke?
Il Poka-Yoke è uno strumento di prevenzione degli errori inserito direttamente nel processo produttivo, progettato per impedire che un errore umano si trasformi in un difetto.
In altre parole è un dispositivo o una soluzione progettuale che rende impossibile (o immediatamente evidente) l’errore.

PRECISAZIONE IMPORTANTISSIMA: Nella logica della Lean Production, la qualità non si controlla alla fine la qualità si costruisce nel processo.

La missione del Poka-yoke non è intercettare il difetto dopo, ma evitare che nasca.

Kanban

Il Kanban è una tecnica di gestione pull, Questo significa che la produzione viene attivata dal consumo a valle e non da una pianificazione spinta (push).
Il Kanban è fondamentale in Logistica Industriale perché, riduce scorte, riduce capitale immobilizzato, riduce lead time, aumenta la sincronizzazione tra reparti, e evidenzia inefficienze (se un processo è lento, il sistema si blocca)
In altre parole usando la tecnica di gestione Kanban è il cliente (interno o esterno) che determina quando e quanto produrre.

Conclusioni
Il Just-In-Time è una filosofia gestionale che ha come obiettivo quello di ridurre al minimo gli sprechi. Il Just-In-Time si applica nei processi produttivi, nella gestione delle scorte, negli approvvigionamenti, nella logistica interna e nella gestione integrata della supply chain.
Il poka-yoke è un metodo per evitare errori.
Il Kanban è una tecnica di gestione che ha una produzione attivata dal consumo, non da una pianificazione spinta.
