one of my buddies is a big fan of tokenized precious metals, tokenized assets as a whole. he pairs PAXG/XAUt to farm the difference in yield ... he calls it free gold haha

I am not a big fan of these plays personally. The same reason I am not a fan of stable/stable pairs. If one side fails then you are left holding a big bag of the rekt one while the market drains you on the other side.
Fair point—stability's key in RWAs, and yeah, those pairs carry counterparty risk if one leg wobbles. That's why diversified tokenized baskets (like gold + bonds) feel safer for long-term liquidity plays. DYOR always
