Being Famous // But Famous for What Exactly?

Hehehe.... What an interesting topic to talk about, BEING FAMOUS.
At first glance, that question sounds simple, but when you really think about it, it’s not.

Being famous is really a wonderful thing to be honest, well who does not love fame? Even if it is just minimal. It is such a good thing that you entered a place and out of ten persons there, four to five persons knew you.

But then, what is the thing we are missing in this prompt?
Being Famous does not just come, it comes from something. What exactly are you famous at? What is it I am doing that I will be famous for?
Because the truth is that what gives fame meaning is what exactly one becomes famous for; something good or something bad.

Well, I know personally, some persons might be like, am I not a doctor? And that is not entirely false, I am a doctor, but then famous at what exactly, heheh.
As a young doctor who just spent a year in the profession few weeks ago, do you think I have gotten the full skillset I need to be very famous in the profession and deal with any case that comes my way?
The honest answer is NO.
And that is one question we should be able to answer before determining if it is time for us to be indeed famous because there need to be a reason, a story, a skill.

Fame without context can be likened to a loud noise with no melody; it draws attention and when the audience finally gather, it will take them few seconds to discover that you really do not have anything to offer.

So honestly, if I were to be famous today and let's say it is my profession that makes me famous, I do not think I will be comfortable with the fame because currently, I do not have that refined skillset to make me standout and manage the fame well, because it is not surprising that fame amplifies everything, both your strengths and your flaws and I would not want to be famous in the negative way.

Now, let us imagine in let's say three years from now when I have fine-tuned my skills and I finally become a doctor who has his nuggets and has touched lives, solved some hard nut cases, the story changes.

I am now not famous for me but rather famous for what I represent! Fame rooted in great value.
That! Becomes a fame worth fighting for! A fame you will love to maintain.

Imagine if I become the doctor that discovered a way to treat a particular disease condition or even better still I become a doctor who found a way to make healthcare very accessible in my country and people are enjoying and benefiting from the relevance of early hospital presentation? Don't you think it's a fame that even not just my family members will be happy to be associated with but rather the whole world will be happy with me? Now, that! Is a fame worth keeping.

In summary, do not get me misunderstood, I am not scared of fame, nah! I am scared of the timing.
