Greetings and happy new year Daily Blog

It's been seven years already, and it has been all good riddance with the boys.I attended a secondary school called St. Teresa's College, Nsukka in Enugu state Nigeria. It's a customary tradition for us to have a reunion at the end of every year. This reunion offers us opportunity to reconnect with one another, see how everyone is doing, and share useful information that fosters growth In all ramifications.
This event remains one we look forward to every year because of the joy we derive from every single moment we spend there.

This wasn't different at all and there we were on December 28, 2024 having a feeling at it again. The excitement could be seen written all over our faces as we gathered once again to create new memories.

It began with an opening prayer, after which we sang the school anthem and marching songs like we always do. These songs brings up the cherished memories of our secondary school days.

Since we are committed to growing from strength to to strength, part of the program is always dedicated to giving suggestions we feel will help take our association to a greater height. One of the suggestions this year was the idea of adding an extra day to our yearly activity.This additional day would be for either visiting the motherless babies' homes or going back to our Alma mater and supporting an outstanding student whose bills will be covered for the term, in that way we derive blessings too because ,"In giving we receive and In doing, we become better individuals."
This idea was welcomed by all and we look forward to this year's gathering to kick-start it in full.

Medical Doctors in The House

After this, we moved on to the fun part...the photo session. It was almost an endless session because everyone wanted to get the perfect picture to take home. It was indeed a delightful chaos as we posed for individual pictures, group pictures and even snapping in groups of the profession we represented as remembrance of that big day; it was indeed quite fun.

It was soon time for the much anticipated item 7 (moment for the food and drinks segment of any gathering) and you know what that means... We've got to reload our stomach with lots of meat and drinks to replenish the energy we've burnt, hehehe..

it was also the moment looked up at during our meetings to see how well the executives prepared for us, lol and this year was excellent too having assorted meats and drinks of different brands of your choice.

As we ate, we reminded ourselves of how we used to line up for meals in the school dining halls and complaining of how small they were then.. we've indeed come a long way.

That reunion isn't just for the day, the coming together of people who went through the same ordeal in their early days bonds us together the more and we look out for one another, celebrate with one another, and offer support whenever it's needed to our members.

I always tell my dad that sending me to St. Teresa's College was the best gift he ever gave me, and I meant it.
The school entirely shaped me and made me who I am today and forever, I remain indebted to them.

As always, this year's reunion was a success and we left with joy and gratitude as we marked our calendars for next year's gathering already, hehe.

Saludos y feliz año nuevo Blog diario

Ya han pasado siete años, y todo ha ido bien con los chicos.Asistí a una escuela secundaria llamada ** Colegio Santa Teresa, Nsukka en el estado de Enugu Nigeria.** Es una tradición habitual para nosotros tener una reunión al final de cada año. Esta reunión nos ofrece la oportunidad de reencontrarnos unos con otros, ver cómo nos va a todos y compartir información útil que fomente el crecimiento en todas sus ramificaciones.
Todos los años esperamos con impaciencia este acontecimiento por la alegría que nos produce cada uno de los momentos que pasamos allí.

Esto no fue diferente en absoluto y allí estábamos el 28 de diciembre de 2024 volviendo a sentirlo. La emoción se podía ver escrita en nuestros rostros mientras nos reuníamos una vez más para crear nuevos recuerdos.

Comenzó con una oración de apertura, después de la cual cantamos el himno de la escuela y canciones de marcha como siempre lo hacemos. Estas canciones nos traen recuerdos entrañables de nuestros días en la escuela secundaria.

Dado que estamos comprometidos a crecer cada vez más, parte del programa se dedica siempre a dar sugerencias que creemos que ayudarán a llevar a nuestra asociación a una mayor altura. Una de las sugerencias de este año fue la idea de añadir un día más a nuestra actividad anual, ya sea para visitar los hogares de los bebés huérfanos o para volver a nuestra Alma Mater y apoyar a un estudiante sobresaliente cuyas facturas se cubrirán durante el curso, de modo que también obtengamos bendiciones porque "dando recibimos y haciendo nos hacemos mejores personas".
Esta idea fue bien acogida por todos y esperamos con impaciencia la reunión de este año para ponerla en marcha plenamente.

Médicos en la Casa

Después de esto, pasamos a la parte divertida... la sesión de fotos. Fue una sesión casi interminable porque todos querían conseguir la foto perfecta para llevarse a casa. Fue realmente un caos delicioso mientras posábamos para las fotos individuales, las de grupo e incluso nos hacíamos fotos en grupo de la profesión que representábamos como recuerdo de ese gran día; fue realmente muy divertido.

Pronto llegó el tan esperado punto 7 (momento de la comida y bebida de cualquier reunión) y ya sabéis lo que eso significa.... Tenemos que recargar nuestro estómago con mucha carne y bebidas para reponer la energía que hemos quemado, jejeje..

también fue el momento mirado durante nuestras reuniones para ver lo bien que los ejecutivos preparado para nosotros, lol y este año fue excelente también tener carnes variadas y bebidas de diferentes marcas de su elección.

Mientras comíamos, recordábamos cómo hacíamos cola para comer en los comedores escolares y nos quejábamos de lo pequeños que eran entonces... la verdad es que hemos avanzado mucho.

El reencuentro no es sólo un día, la reunión de personas que pasaron por lo mismo en sus inicios nos une aún más y nos cuidamos los unos a los otros, lo celebramos y ofrecemos apoyo a nuestros miembros siempre que lo necesitan.

Siempre le digo a mi padre que enviarme al St. Teresa's College fue el mejor regalo que me hizo nunca, y lo decía en serio.
El colegio me formó por completo y me convirtió en quien soy hoy y para siempre, sigo en deuda con ellos.

Como siempre, la reunión de este año fue un éxito y nos fuimos con alegría y gratitud mientras marcábamos ya nuestros calendarios para la reunión del año que viene, jeje.
