Hola Mi nombre es Humberto Ortega, Soy de Caracas, Venezuela. Comencé desde aproximadamente los 16 años, aprendiendo con una guitarra acústica de mi papá que me conseguí arriba en el armario, llena de polvo y con un par de cuerdas. Justo en el bachillerato conocí a un amigo que tocaba la guitarra y fui ahí donde la cabeza me hizo "guao". Allí empecé a aprender preguntando, viendo, con amigos, etc.
En esa época luego de aprender lo básico por así decirlo, recuerdo haber pasado por algunas clases también de guitarra, llegue a leer tablaturas, etc. Ya me había comprado una guitarra eléctrica, me acuerdo que compraba las revistas de Guitarra que traían CD y tenían ejercicios para practicar.
Por esos años, conozco a unos amigos que ya tenían una banda formada de canciones propias, yo entro como segunda guitarra y ensayábamos en su casa, llegamos a tocar en cumpleaños, 15 años, en casa de algún amigo, en fiesta de graduación y hasta un local nocturno en San Antonio de los Altos.
También me compre un bajo eléctrico porque otro amigo que tenia una banda de versiones le faltaba un bajista, al poco tiempo la banda anterior se disuelve, vendo la guitarra y me quedo tocando versiones con el bajo. Pasaron los años y de vez cuando ensayábamos y/o salía algún evento, la verdad que fue mas hobbies que otra cosa, vivir de la música siempre lo he visto cuesta arriba.
Si mal no recuerdo hasta vendí el bajo y estuve unos años inactivos por motivos personales, situación país, etc. Pero como es algo que la verdad disfruto mucho, traté de armar mi banda propia en el 2007, contactando conocidos y gente nueva, se formó "TRAZOS" banda de rock alternativo, Luego llegó "ARIA" estilo Power Metal, tocando en locales en Caracas y para el año 2010 entro a formar parte de "OVERHATE" haciendo una especie de Trash Metal, donde tuve la oportunidad de tocar en varias ciudades de Venezuela, como Maturín, Ciudad Bolívar, El Tigre, Puerto la Cruz, Valera, Mérida, Barquisimeto, Margarita. También salí de país a tocar en Guayaquil, Ecuador y en las ciudades de Nueva Delhi, Goa y Hyderabad en la India, siendo la primera banda de Metal de Venezuela en tocar en dicho país.
Llegó nuevamente una larga pausa y cuando llegue a la Argentina en 2018, me formé en música electrónica, hice curso de Productor, DJ, mezcla y mastering. Para el 2020 saco mi proyecto de electrónica llamado "TAYLHARDAT", edito mi primer disco digital llamado "The Story Begins..." y luego en el 2021 saco otro llamado "Mr. Hypnosys".
Luego me llaman para tocar el bajo con un grupo de músicos venezolanos que tenían también sus bandas en Venezuela y estaban formando un nuevo proyecto acá en Buenos Aires, me gustó la propuesta, hemos estado ensayando, componiendo y el 08 de Junio de 2024, debuta la banda "VIATOREM ASTRA" en un local porteño, actualmente estamos a punto de sacar el primer disco.

I also bought an electric bass because another friend who had a cover band was missing a bass player, soon the previous band dissolved, I sold the guitar and I stayed playing covers with the bass. The years went by and from time to time we rehearsed and/or went out to some event, the truth is that it was more of a hobby than anything else, living from music has always been an uphill struggle.
If I remember correctly I even sold the bass and was inactive for a few years for personal reasons, country situation, etc.. But as it is something that I really enjoy, I tried to put together my own band in 2007, contacting acquaintances and new people, I formed "TRAZOS" alternative rock band, then came "ARIA" Power Metal style, Playing in local venues in Caracas and by 2010 I became part of "OVERHATE" doing a kind of Trash Metal, where I had the opportunity to play in several cities in Venezuela, such as Maturin, Ciudad Bolivar, El Tigre, Puerto la Cruz, Valera, Merida, Barquisimeto, Margarita. I also left the country to play in Guayaquil, Ecuador and in the cities of New Delhi, Goa and Hyderabad in India, being the first Venezuelan Metal band to play in that country.
A long break came again and when I arrived in Argentina in 2018, I trained in electronic music, I did Producer, DJ, mixing and mastering course. By 2020 I release my electronic project called "TAYLHARDAT", I release my first digital album called "The Story Begins..." and then in 2021 I release another one called "Mr. Hypnosys".
Then they call me to play bass with a group of Venezuelan musicians who also had their bands in Venezuela and were forming a new project here in Buenos Aires, I liked the proposal, we have been rehearsing, composing and on June 8, 2024, the band "VIATOREM ASTRA" debuts in a local porteño, we are currently about to release the first album.
