¡Se graduó mi hermano! 🥳👨🎓 My brother graduated!

Celebrating Diego's graduation
A few days ago, my younger brother achieved his first academic goal at university level, graduating as a senior technician in industrial production and supervision from the Antonio Ricaurte University Institute of Technology, the same institute where I studied and graduated 25 years ago 🤭. I still remember when I would leave class at 10 pm and my dad would pick me up, accompanied by Diego, who was only two years old at the time. Seeing him now, graduating from the same institution, is very emotional for me.
My brother studied a degree related to his studies at the Central University of Venezuela in Industrial Process Engineering, a degree that he has been unable to complete for various reasons, one of the most important being that the campus where he attended classes was dismantled during the pandemic, leaving the engineering faculty in the centre of the country without a home, which was unfortunate for the students, who had to move to another city and lose valuable time. He is still studying at the UCV and says he is close to becoming an engineer, God willing.

I was looking forward to attending the ceremony and participating in the medal presentation. My wish was to be there at that moment and, if possible, to place the medal on him, since I have two university degrees, but I was unable to attend because one of the requirements set by the institution was that those interested in presenting the medal had to be active university professors, in addition to having their degrees registered, of course. I have never taught at the university level.
All graduates are given only two tickets to the ceremony, and my brother wanted to take our parents, as it should be. A few days before, he bought his clothes and also dressed my dad. I accompanied them to buy the clothes. In my mum's case, as she already had clothes, she bought shoes and had her hair done. The ceremony was early in the morning. After breakfast, they left, but not before having a photo session at home. 😁.

When they called him up to receive his degree, my mum tells me that someone shouted with great excitement and at the top of their lungs, "Bravo Diego, bravo, bravo!" She and my dad were surprised at who it could have been. They thought it might be a fellow student, but after everything was over and they met, they realised that it was a guest lecturer at the medal ceremony who knew Diego, turning out to be one of my brother's lecturers at another university. It was a surprise for everyone to meet there, and the lecturer later said that he was very happy about this coincidence and that is why he could not contain his expression of affection.
Diego was surprised, but he never thought that he would be one of his professors at the UCV. I think it was such a nice and simple gesture from this professor 😍. My brother's girlfriend also arrived at the exit and brought him a gift for his achievement, and then they went to lunch and celebrated as a family. The ceremony was held at the Opera Theatre in the city of Maracay, Venezuela.
I wish my brother every success in his career. May God bless him with prosperity and may he always be happy in whatever he decides to study and pursue. I love you so much, brother. 🥰

These are happy and exciting news! Well done Diego! Congratulations to him and your family, your parents must have been very proud of him! ☺️
Hello, my friend @mipiano , thank you very much.
We are all very happy, because my brother has had to go through difficult times, both financially and socially. From a young age, he knew what it was like to live in a country of deprivation and had to study and work at the same time.
My brother is practically the breadwinner of my household.🥹
Felicidades
Gracias!! ☺️🫠
