[Writing Contest] Finish the Tale. Story #70 Nightmare turned to a Fairyland

The road trip officially began when they took the wrong turn and didn’t turn back

This was a 2 day office trip and around 20 of them were getting prepared for the next days journey . It was such an excitement for each and everyone, that most of them reached even before the scheduled time. They arranged for food, water, snacks and first aid kit, if necessary, for the 2 day journey. Contribution by each and every one was amazing.

The journey started by 6 a.m. in a 24 seater tourist van. Beginning of the journey was full of energy with lots of fun and laughter. By mid afternoon they reached a restaurant for a short meal. Once over, they set off inorder to reach the destination before 6.00 p.m.

But the journey was not as expected. Half way through, they realised they lost the way due to heavy mist. The journey went on, and t was almost 5.00 p.m. and suddenly everyone realised nobody was around the road, to cross check the route.

A fear erupted among the colleagues and silence prevailed when the road seemed to be long lost, amidst the mist. The energy and postive vibe in the beginning seemed to turn a nightmare, as and when it was getting dark.

By 7.00 p.m. it was almost dark with no sound or people around. The network was so poor that calling someone was impossible. With fear, nobody was prepared to speak, laugh or have fun. They decided to halt in that unknown land.

Night seemed to be too long. But around 6.00 a.m.the small light awakened few of them. Alas, to their continuous prayers they saw beautiful valley of flowers right in front of them.

For a moment they thought if they were in paradise. Such was the beauty. Around mid day people from nearby places came pouring in to watch this beautiful sight, which made them even more happier.

With a happy heart, they headed back to their destination.
