Sb-Chronicles #3 : The Beach
Greetings dear Hiveans and the community members. Yet another day with another challenge. To know more, click here
Take us to visit a special place in yout hometown
Here, isi my place, we do have too many places to move out. But to have a real time with family is the open beach - our kollam beach, kerala, South India. This definitely is a special place.
One of the interesting part is Iam staying far away from the city and the beach is in the city center. Moreover, the colleges, schools, the malls, the speciality hospitals and all the government offices are all located close by. So whenever we have any official related works in the city centre, where we are kept waiting, our immediate visit is to the beach which is close by, to spent some time.
Evenings are the most beautiful. Too many amusements to kill our time. We can see too many kites in the air, by the older & younger generations. The happiness and smile in their face while flying the kite is worth watching, even if this continues for hours. Its nice to see the colorful kites flying up in the air.
By 4.00 p.m. we can see the beach gettiing filled with Vendors and small cart stalls, meaning the vendors making hot tea with hot snacks. and not to say a crowd is followed to munch these fries.
The Beach is fully occupied during the evening times . On my last visit, a month ago I saw a lot of eagles flying near the open stall where a lady was frying hot pakoras (a popular Indian snack). It was just bouncing on top of everyones head, for taking hot pakoras.)
To attract the littleones, there were toy stalls in a moving cart. The colourful ballons, the toy cars, variety magnets , bangles ear rings ettc. were the centre of attraction for money.
Next was the ice -cream stall. Hardly could I see peoples buying one. May be the weather was not much pleasing.
Inbetween, men dressed in uniform where walking across the shore warning the people to move away from the shore. They were the security guards.
In a nut shell, I love this place where me and my family spent some time together - talking, eating snacks, enjoy watching the children play around. The visit usually takes place when my children come down together for a short vacation.
Thankyou for reading my blog. The photos are my own.
I also love going to the beach! My favourite place of all. It looks so colourful, and delicious food and snacks on sale as well.
The photos are lovely, especially the sunset!
Thanks a lot 🙏. They were captured by my husband when my children were busy rushing towards the water and then coming back.

Beautiful beach day with many activities and good food, especially spending time with family there. I would love to join :))
You are most welcome. Yes it's definitely a lovely place. You will definitely enjoy.
Wow!I love going to the beach too not to swim but just enjoy the Seabreeze and food, this is nice that many vendors selling foods and hot drinks besides you enjoyed watching the different kites flying.
That's very much true. Thankyou for visiting.
Sunset at the beach is always the best scenery♥️. It's not allowed to swim there?
Yes very true. Swimming is not allowed here due to severe tides. When the first Tsunami hit, the impact was quiet severe here.
I love the beach, and I love Indian street food,so you have a beautiful place to relax at.
Ahhh.... really!! Nice to hear that friend. On one side of this beach we have street foods. Some of them prepare hot when ordered, while some deny and give us the already cooked one. Yes it's a beautiful place to relax. Thanks friend.
You are welcome and enjoy that beach.
Hello, @shamis
The beach you show us in your pictures looks fantastic. The kite flying is a total spectacle. I remember my childhood, when I used to fly them too, and how one would relax while adjusting the string according to the wind strength.
I wonder, and excuse my ignorance, how cold the waters are (correct me, Indian Ocean). By the way, I didn't see any people swimming in your photos. I guess it is for safety reasons.
Thanks for sharing your chronicle with us.
Greetings.
Hello friend. You know a good lot of kite flying. Its true we had to adjust the string according to the wind. But it's such a great experience.
Swimming is banned in that beach as its the rough sea and so many worst incidents to remember.
By the way, this beach is located in the shores of Arabian Sea. Thanks for your comment.
