A joyful outing with family
Greetings lovely Hiveans !!! This is my first post in World mappin community Happy to be a part of this platform.
On the way to Munnar Hill station
Fine, let me start with my journey. Here in South India we have a beautiful hill station and the place is Munnar. Recently, we had a festive vacation for 10 days, which meant, an outing was essential, otherwise called a short break from our busy schedule.
The Hotel we stayed
A stroll in the garden of the Hotel by my son
The entrance was amazing and welcoming with this beautiful creeper plant and garland like flowers
As scheduled, the hotels were booked for 3 days at different places. The joyful part of this trip was trekking in the dense forest. I never thought I could be in par while trekking with my young children. It was a bit difficult because we were climbing the mountains with trees all over. It was such fun with greeneries around.
The entry towards the hotel
This particular place is on hill top of the mountainous region, which meant we had an adventurous ride in our Jeep until we reached there. I was a bit nervous, as this was the first time we were going on in a narrow road with steep sides on either sides.
My family members
Trust me, only I had a grim look as something will befall us, but my children enjoyed to their best. A tough joyous ride I said, once we reached our destination. Yes, their was an irony in what I said. And it sounded so to my family.
Taking a break while trekking
Cardamom plantations are all over the trekking areas
Trekking is a beautiful experience, but it reminds me of my age. But then, once I completed the expedition I felt age is not a bar to fulfilll your dreams and happiness. This, I can honestly confess. Because at 53, I was able to trek nearly 6 km .
Likewise, in a busy schedule, rarely do we get tine to communicate and interact peacefully or look at eachother, face to face. So I felt a break is a must for a healthy communication and face to face interaction. Though time was short, we utilized the vacation at the fullest by all means.
The photos were captured during this beautiful journey by my husband and daughter, which will be in the form of memories henceforth. Hope you enjoyed my brief journey. Thankyou for your valuable time.
Will come up with the essence of trekking in the next article.
