Nope, this is America man... we're OSHA exempt in the film world.
Osha is a safety regulatory body under which the US work force typically has to abide to. Especially in Union states
But not us carnies 😆

Crazy, here production has to make sure all safety measures are taken. But at least healthcare here is good so if you take a fall you will not be in 600k debt after your stay in the hospital...
Ah the American health care system... it sure is pretty crappy. If you're not in a union or working for a big company it will cost a lot.
If you don't have insurance it's really bad!
The film industry luckily has given us something that is comparable to the French...it costs me close to nothing to go to the doctor (but I do have to work a minimum of hours every year to get that union insurance 😅)
Well, I guess you are one of the lucky ones. My wife had an emergency kidney surgery in France a year ago and the bill was 9000€ thanks to the healthcare treaty between Austria and France she only had to pay 141€
yeah definitely feel lucky to have this job in that regard
