Moni Cafe: A Bali-Inspired Escape in the Middle of Cebu
Tucked along a quiet corner of Acacia Street in Green Valley Subdivision, Moni Cafe is the kind of spot that makes you do a double take, because for a second, you’ll forget you’re in Cebu. Think: boho-chic aesthetics, sun-washed textures, and lush greenery that channel serious Bali energy without the airfare.
The ambiance is effortlessly laid-back. With its thatched roofing, hanging lamps, and a cozy bar window framed by tropical plants and cacti, Moni Cafe feels like it was made for slow mornings and golden hour catch-ups. The space is intimate and calming, perfect for when you need a little breather from city life or just a stylish spot to sip your coffee and vibe.
Now let’s talk about the stars of the visit: the drinks and the food. Because aesthetics aside, this café brings bold flavors to match the mood.
We started with two of their signature drinks:
☕ Irish Cream Latte – smooth, velvety, and not too sweet. The Irish cream gave it that luxe finish, making each sip feel indulgent but still perfectly balanced.
🥛 Dulce Latte – creamy and rich with just the right hint of sweetness. It’s the kind of drink that feels like a hug—warm, cozy, and totally satisfying.
As for the food, we couldn’t resist ordering a few crowd-pleasers (and now, we totally get the hype):
🍜 Phở Xào Bò – Vietnamese stir-fried flat noodles with beef. This dish was hearty and flavorful, with tender meat and just the right amount of sauce. A comforting, umami-filled favorite.
🍗 Thai Fried Chicken – golden, crunchy, and served with a dipping sauce that packs a punch. It’s got that crisp texture and savory kick that makes it impossible to eat just one.
🥥 Crispy Coco Shrimp – hands down the surprise highlight. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, and that coconut coating? Genius. Slightly sweet, beautifully crunchy, and totally addictive.
Moni Cafe really hits that sweet spot between chill and elevated. It’s the kind of place where you can come in casual, stay a little longer than planned, and leave already planning your next visit. The vibe, the food, and the thoughtful details make it more than just a café, it’s an experience.
Of course, I couldn’t leave without snapping a few pics (okay, more than a few). The lighting, the textures, the dreamy setup, it’s basically made for your next OOTD moment.
