Coffee, Books & BFFs: A Chill Day at Siargao Books Café

Our fourth day in Siargao started a little differently. While Jez and Chrissie had family day plans with their little cuties, it was just me, Demple, and Nhine ready for some lowkey bonding time. So what did three fabulous ladies craving a laid-back afternoon do? We headed straight to Siargao Books Café, a cozy hideaway that’s equal parts charming, aesthetic, and delicious.

Tucked away in the heart of Siargao, this café instantly won us over with its bamboo interior, warm beachy vibe, and those Insta-worthy neon signs that scream “let’s take photos here!” It’s like walking into a Pinterest board of island dreams. The whole place radiates chill—perfect for bookworms, coffee lovers, and even cocktail connoisseurs (yes, more on that in a bit!).

We kicked off our snack session with their famous turon—crispy lumpia-wrapped bananas that took us straight back to childhood, only better. We also got their banana caramel waffle (hello, sweet heaven!), a generous plate of nachos for that salty fix, and of course, I couldn’t skip their large iced Spanish latte. It was creamy, strong, and just the right amount of sweet. Basically, a hug in a cup.

But here’s the twist that makes Siargao Books Café a total standout, they don’t just serve coffee and comfort food. They also have a full bar of cocktails and liquor, making it the perfect spot to go from caffeine buzz to cocktail hour without switching locations. And yes, they’re open 24 hours—whether you’re craving espresso at sunrise or mojitos at midnight, they got you.

While sipping and snacking, we had our little “coffee talk” moment, sharing stories, laughing at random island happenings, and just enjoying that rare kind of peace that only Siargao can bring. No rush, no noise, just good food, good company, and a place that feels like a second home.

If you’re planning a Siargao trip and want a spot that’s all-in-one—great drinks, beachy ambiance, photo ops, and even a book corner, Siargao Books Café is a must-visit. It’s where vibes meet value, and you can chill however you want, solo, with friends, or even for a late night unwind.

OOTD? Pink co-ords, rainbow bandeau, blush Crocs with attitude, because island days still deserve a little slay.
