A Purr-fect Weekend Date at Miau Cafe š¾
Weekends are for little adventures, and this time, my daughter and I found ourselves at Miau Cafe, tucked along F. Cabahug Street in Bonifacio District. As a certified cat lover (well, technically, my daughter is the real cat whisperer in the family), she had been begging me to take her there. So off we went for a mother-daughter date filled with caffeine, sugar, and hopefully, lots of feline cuddles.
Hereās how it works: to enter the catās den, you need to order at least ā±250 worth of food or drinks per person. On top of that, face masks and foot masks are required, which cost ā±15 each. Think of it as part of the cafĆ©ās way of keeping the cats safe and the space clean.
Now, about the menuāletās just say itās on the fancier side. My Spanish Latte cost ā±220, and we also tried their Biscoff Pudding at ā±180. Both were delicious, but this isnāt your budget-friendly coffee run. Youāre paying for the experience as much as the treats.
And of course, the main attraction? the cat den! You only get 15 minutes inside, and there are house rules to follow. Miau Cafe treats their furbabies like family (and I love that), so theyāve put up a cute āRead Befurr You Enterā guide that says:
⢠No human food for the cats.
⢠No pulling tails or ears.
⢠Donāt disturb them while sleeping or eating.
⢠No holding or carrying them unless they willingly climb on you.
⢠Pet them only on the head.
⢠Be mindful of their nails when they play.
⢠No flash photography.
Sounds simple, right? The only sad thing though is that most of the cats were asleep during our visit. Since the rules say no touching a snoozing kitty (respect āØ), my daughter only got to pet one awake and sociable cat. She was a little disappointed at first, but her smile said it all, those few gentle strokes of fur were enough to make her day.
Thatās the thing about these little weekend dates. Itās not about how many cats she got to play with, or how much the latte cost, or even the ticking 15-minute timer. Itās about the joy we create in the moment. And seeing her light up while petting that one cat? Priceless.
We both agreed that weāll be back, this time when the cats are more active. Because for my daughter, being surrounded by cats is happiness, and for me, seeing her happy is everything. š±ā¤ļø
So here are some of the Tips Before You Go to Miau Cafe:
š¾ Minimum spend: ā±250 per person (plus ā±15 each for face and foot masks).
š¾ Time inside the cat den: 15 minutes only.
š¾ Best time to visit: Earlier in the day or after feeding timeāwhen cats are more awake.
š¾ Budget tip: Drinks are around ā±200+ and desserts start at ā±150+, so plan your spend.
š¾ Cat etiquette: Respect the rulesāno disturbing sleeping kitties, no picking them up, and no flash photography.
š¾ Family note: Kids under 12 must be with a guardian.
So if youāre planning a visit, go prepared, respect the catsā space, and most importantly you have to enjoy the cuteness overload while it lasts. š¾āØ

Such a great idea to have coffee and bond with kiddos!
Miau Cafe sounds like such a cozy spot! I can just imagine sipping on a warm cup of coffee while surrounded by those adorable cats. It's great that your daughter got to enjoy some kitty time, even if they were mostly snoozing :-)
