Woman Wednesday: True Love In a Different Dimension

In one of my recent write-ups on Hive, I passively mentioned a lady who gave me her ATM card to withdraw money during my undergraduate days. To be sincere, I know I have met a lot of wonderful people, even in recent times, but the kind of ladies I met during my time as a university student were angels. I would like to talk about this wonderful lady who should have been my first love, but for some reasons that didn't happen, and now she's married. One consolation I have is that she's married to a wonderful person, a very close friend of mine.

Talking about angels I met during my undergraduate days, I can't forget a lady that took me out on a cool ride; she paid for all the goodies we bought. If I can talk about more than a lady for this WCW(Woman Crush Wednesday), I will definitely have a long list, especially those I met during my undergraduate days. I even had a lecturer who treated me like her son. It seems as if we grow to discover that the way ladies treat boys is totally different from their expectations of men. Not that I want to go back in time, but the difference between then and now is way different. Or do I want to go back in time?

Tayo is one of my closest friends at the university. After my mom, sisters, and aunts, she is one of the wisest ladies I have ever met. We met at a church gathering. A choir group, to be precise. She was in the alto group while I was in tenor. She's a student at the law department, and we attend the same institution. Aside from meeting in church, we also meet in school, even at night class.

One of the things that really got me close to this lady was her kindheartedness. If you see her from afar, you'll think she's a tough nut to crack. Lots of my church members and fellow students were so surprised to see us become friends. A lot of people wanted to move close to the beautiful girl, but her facial expression was a big deal for them. Since I have no hidden intentions and my parents have already told me that if I am not ready to be a father, I should never try anything like being a boyfriend, those fearful words sank like the ship's anchor in the rivers of my mind.

Tayo liked me, and I really like her too; she was like the junior sister I've always wanted. Moving closer to her made me discover her selflessness and care. Tayo can give any of her close friends anything. As long as you are close enough and trustworthy, she'll give you anything you need. What made her like me more was the day she gave me her ATM card and I didn't withdraw any money, not because I couldn't, but because I just didn't feel like inconveniencing her as we were both students, although her family was richer and wealthier than mine.

If I had known better, Tayo wouldn't be my sister; she's one of those rare jewels you don't just get to see around, but I didn't have the knowledge. However, I'm happy she's married to my best friend.
