Sugar and my weekend engagement

Hello everyone, this is my entry to the weekend engagement challenge. I would like to talk about something that is very close to my heart, and has actually happened in my real life. Yes, the question, the very first question about cutting off my sugar permanently. Yes, I have already done that. Back in twenty nineteen, when I was travelling, I got a phone call from my brother. He informed me that the diabetic test of our father was positive and that my father had diabetes. The doctor had various many lifestyle changes other than medication.

It was very emotional and turbulent time for the entire family. With the grace of God, my father is very healthy and fine today. His blood sugar is in control. That day, when I heard about the result of my father, I decided in that very moment that I will change my lifestyle as well. There were two results for that. One of the major reasons was, if my father was to cut sugar from his lifestyle, I would not be able to sit and take sugar in front of him. It would create difficulties and urges if I take sugar, anything related to sugar in front of my father. This is why I decided to cut sugar from my food intake.

Another reason is health, my own health. I knew that I needed to take care of myself and I needed to take immediate and swift measures. It has been years since I last took sugar in my tea or in any other sweets. I don't eat sweets. It was a very tough journey in the beginning, but now I am very much accustomed to it, and I feel healthy and energetic more than ever before. Thank you very much. I would like to know more about your take and journey about sugar.
