Out of Interest - I have a question/s

image.png

Hi folks

I have a question for you, a multi pronged question really,
Those of you that know me know that I am reasonably fluent in the implementation of my below questions, however, and bear with me, I am asking you these questions, because yes I am going somewhere with this, and you may find what I have to offer as a positive for your directions. In which case humour me :)

I am interested to know

  1. What mailing programs you use for your Mailing List
  2. Does your Mailing Program meet all your Needs
  3. How do you promote your mailing list
  4. Do you create a Mailer Series
  5. Is your Mailer Series engaging, successful and always expanding, How do you make it engaging
  6. Is your Mailing subscription base increasing and by how much on a weekly or monthly basis
  7. Do you allow your subscriber base to contribute to the Mailing List

That will do for now, I have many questions that will be presented to me by your responses and those we will address in the coming conversations

Have a great and productive day

Great questions! This is a topic that I am very interested in, so here are my answers:

What mailing programs you use for your Mailing List?

I use Leadsleap's excellent Sendsteed autoresponder.

Does your Mailing Program meet all your Needs?

Yes.

How do you promote your mailing list?

I use Leadsleap to create lead capture pages and promote those pages on Leadsleap's ad network, numerous safelists, some traffic exchanges and similar sites. Oh, and I sometimes link out to them from relevant blog posts here on Hive.

Do you create a Mailer Series?

Yes.

Is your Mailer Series engaging, successful and always expanding?

I have several lists and just added a new one this month! Results vary from list to list but I can say that I get most of my referrals and sales/commissions from my email follow-up. My total number of subscribers is slowly expanding, with over 1,200 subscribers as of today.

How do you make it engaging?

I write more or less as I talk or blog, and inject some humour into the emails. I send broadcasts whenever I post a new blog or video.

Is your Mailing subscription base increasing and by how much on a weekly or monthly basis?

Yes, slowly, but it varies from week to week depending how actively I'm promoting my lists.

Do you allow your subscriber base to contribute to the Mailing List?

I don't actively invite them to do so, but if someone reaches out with a suggestion then I'd be open to it. I have featured other marketers in my emails and I sometimes talk about feedback/comments if there is something of value to be learnt from it.

I wonder what you have up your sleeve for us... 🤔💭

Thanks for your reply David, very much appreciated and enjoyed reading your responses

I am not sure if people still see marketing their list as the primary push or if they are still stuck in an archaic notion of promoting singular products to an unknow audience :)

I see a lot of both on the safelists and traffic exchanges. I think more people than before now use their own lead capture pages and prioritise list building over simply showing their sales page or affiliate link to a cold audience, BUT it is still a minority. I guess the 80/20 rule applies: 80% go the lazy route of directly promoting their affiliate link.
