Very Interesting Battle With Lost Legendaries Ruleset | BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge! Splinterlands

Legendary summoners are still available.
In battles with the Lost Legendaries Ruleset, Legendary Monster Cards may not be used, but Legendary Summoner Cards may be used. I can say that I like the Lost Legendaries Ruleset as I don't have many legendary cards in my deck and their level isn't too high either. I would also like to say that I was able to win more than 70% of the battles with the Lost Legendaries Ruleset.
I will share my most interesting battle with the Lost Legendaries Ruleset, I hope you like it.
Battle Ruleset
- Lost Legendaries: Legendary Monsters may not be used in battles.
- Keep Your Distance: Monsters with Melee attack may not be used in battles.
- Counterspell: All Monsters have the Magic Reflect ability.
Magic Reflect Ability : When hit with Magic damage, does reduced Magic damage back to the attacker.
As the battle has the Lost Legendaries Ruleset, Legendary units may not be used in this battle, but Legendary Summoners are still available. And Since the battle had the Keep Your Distance Ruleset, Melee Attack Monsters may not be used in battle, in other words, Magic Attack and Ranged Attack Monsters may be used. Also, since the batlte had the Counterspell Ruleset, all Monsters would have the Magic Reflect Ability.
In such battles, my favorite Summoner is ILTHAIN, I really think having an ILTHAIN Card in such battles is a huge advantage. I will choose ILTHAIN as the summoner without hesitation in this battle because ILTHAIN gives Return Fire Ability to all friendly monsters, which I thought would give my team a huge advantage in battle. Also, using a card with the Amplify Ability in this battle would also give my team a huge advantage. My strategy in this battle will not be offensive, it will be more defensive, I will prefer cards with more health than mana cost. I also thought that Tank Heal Ability and Martyr Ability might help my strategy.
I've adjusted the line up of my team according to the health and abilities of the Monsters.
Summoner : ILTHAIN
Ilthain is a Life Summoner that gives +1 Speed to all friendly Monsters and Return Fire Ability to all friendly monsters
- Return Fire Ability : When hit with a Ranged attack, Monsters with Return Fire will return reduced damage back to their attacker.
Position 1 : CHAOS AGENT
Chaos Agent is a Monster with no attack power and has Dodge Ability from level 2. Since Chaos Agent only costs 1 mana and has 2 health, I added it to the team and put it in the first position.
- Dodge Ability : Has an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks.
Position 2 : PELACOR CONJURER
Pelacor Conjurer is a Monster that has no attack power and has Flying Ability from level 1. Since Pelacor Conjurer only costs 2 mana and has 5 health, I added it to the team and put it in the second position.
- Flying Ability : Has an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability.
Position 3 : VENARI MARKSRAT
Venari Marksrat is a Monster that can attack the target with a Ranged Attack and has Martyr Ability from level 1. The main reason I added Venari Marksrat to the team was because it has the Martyr Ability and I put it in third position.
- Martyr Ability : When this Monster dies, adjacent Monsters get +1 to all stats.
Position 4 : EVELYN AUVERA
Evelyn Auvera is a Monster that has no attack power and has Immunity Ability from level 1. The main reason I added Evelyn Auvera to the team was because she has 8 armor and 5 health. Also, after Venari Markstrat died, all its stats would increase by +1. And I put it in fourth position.
- Immunity Ability : This monster is immune to negative status effects.
Position 5 : VENARI CRYSTALSMITH
Venari Crystalsmith is a Monster that can attack the target with a Ranged Attack and has Tank Heal Ability from level 1. Because I thought the Tank Heal Ability would be of great benefit to the team in this battle, I added it to the team and put it in fifth position.
- Tank Heal Ability : Restores a portion of the Monster in the first position's health each round.
Position 6 : DAX PARAGON
Dax Paragon is a Monster that can attack the target with a Magic Attack and has Amplify Ability at level 1. I knew the Amplify Ability would be very effective in this battle so I added Dax Paragon to the team. But it wouldn't survive for long as the battle had Counterspell ruleset, but I still added it to the team. And I put it in the last position.
- Amplify Ability : Increases Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns damage to all enemy monsters by 1.
To be honest, the opposing player's strategy was also very good and the opposing team was much stronger than my team.
Round 1
All the monsters on the opposing team had to hit the target for me to win this battle, but all the enemy monsters missed, except for Venari Marksrat. That's why my team was so unlucky in the first round. No monsters died in the first round as many attacks were missed.
Round 2
It was a huge advantage for all monsters on the opposing team to have armor, which would make it harder for them to be destroyed. While a monster from my team was destroyed in the second round, all the monsters from the opposing team were still alive, but the armor of the 4 enemy monsters was destroyed. Also, the fact that the monsters in the team missed attacks was lowering my hopes of winning the battle.
Round 3
In the third round, the monsters on the team missed all attacks, but back damage caused the monsters on the opposing team to take damage. Only Venari Marksrat was destroyed in the opposing team, which was good for the opposing team, not good for my team at all.
Round 4
In the fourth round all monsters hit the targets so 2 monsters from my team were destroyed but only 1 monster from the opposing team was destroyed. My hopes of winning the war were dwindling, but Evelyn Auvera's having 8 armor and 5 health kept my hopes of winning the battle going.
Round 5
Back damage worked well in the fourth round, destroying 2 monsters from the opposing team. But Dax Paragon's death was not good at all, but still it did its task well. Frankly, even its surviving up to 5 rounds was admirable. At the end of the fifth round, 2 monsters remained on the opposing team. Naga Assassin's health was only 2 so it would be destroyed when it hit the target, so now I could say I won the battle.
Round 6
In the sixth round, Naga Assassin was destroyed by back damage after hitting the target, leaving only Kra'ar Xoc on the opposing team. Kra'ar Xoc had no attack power, so in other rounds Venari Crystalsmith attacked until destroyed it.
Round 14
It was surprising that the battle lasted 14 rounds even though the mana cap was 21. The fact that the battle lasted this long show that our strategies with the opposing player were quite good. Honestly, I think that if my Ilthain card was level 3, I could have won this battle more easily, so I will upgrade my Ilthain card as soon as possible. Frankly, the opposing team was much more powerful, but the fact that all the monsters in my team had the Return Fire Ability and using a monster with the Amplify Ability in the team allowed me to win this rather tough battle. I need to buy 4 more copies to upgrade to level 3. I recommend you to watch this very interesting and quite challenging battle from the Battle Link. I hope you will like it.
