Splinterlands Chronicles #4: Card Spotlight -> Cavewise Wayfinder

Hello Everyone! Hope you're all are doing great and welcome to my daily Splinterlands post!
In this post, I’ll be talking about one of my favorite Fire Splinter cards right now, Cavewise Wayfinder. He might look small but this card has some serious battlefield presence! He's been winning me matches and in yesterday's post in which i shared one of my intense battles (check it out if you've not seen it yet), he was my tank.
Introducing Cavewise Wayfinder
The Cavewise Wayfinder is a monster type card. This monster belongs to the Fire element and comes from the Gnome bloodline. This monster card is of Common rarity. It costs 6 mana to be used in battles, so you can choose this card in your lineup when playing medium to high mana limit matches. The attack type of this monster is Melee. Apart from a decent melee attack power and speed, it also comes with a large health + armour combo, which helps it to consume multiple attacks before going down. This monster carries a whopping 4 abilities at its max level, which I am going to talk about it next.

Stats and Abilities
At level 1, this monster comes with 2 melee attack, 4 armor, 7 health and 3 speed. Even at level 1 this card is an absolute beast. He can defend all three types of attacks pretty well. At level 3, this monster card possesses 3 melee attack power at 3 speed with 4 armor and 8 health. This monster also comes with 2 abilities from the initial level, Reckless and Ambush.

- Reckless: Each successful attack also deals 1 true damage to adjacent allied units.
- Ambush: Takes an extra turn prior to the first round of battle.
When this card is upgraded to level 5, it's stats almost remains the same as it's previous level with 3 melee attack power at 3 speed with 4 armor. However, it's health gets decreased by one point (from 9 to 8). I think the reason might be him being overpowered so the developers tuned him down a little bit by decreasing it's health by one point. At level 5, he gains a new ability called Void.

- Void: 50% less damage (rounded up) from magic attacks or 0 damage from magic attacks of 1 power.
Now at level 5 after gaining the Void ability, this monster becomes even more unstoppable. It can defend against magic attacks even better now because of the Void ability.
When this card is upgraded to level 8, it's stats finally gets increased. Now, it's melee attack power and armor remains the same with 3 melee attack power and 4 armor. However, it's speed and health gets an increment of 1 point with 4 speed and a whopping 10 health.
Finally, when this card is upgraded to level 10 (max level), it's stats are increased even more with 4 melee attack power, 4 speed, 4 armor and 11 health. Not only that, this monster also gains a new ability called Enrage.

- Enrage: +50% melee power and speed (rounded up) if not at full health.
Conclusion
In conclusion, this monster card is something that every player should have in their arsenal. Even at bronze league, this card is a great addition to the team and it really packs a punch. It can defend, attack and also dodge attacks, what more can you ask for? Even if talk about this card from a trading point of view, it goes for a pretty hefty amount when you upgrade it to max level. It goes for upto 100$ in the market, so keep leveling it up lads!
So next time you’re running a Fire team in a high mana match, give Cavewise Wayfinder a try. You might be surprised by how much this little gnome can contribute to your win streaks!
That’s all for this post! I’ll be back tomorrow with another one, so stay tuned and follow my Splinterlands journey.
