In this post, I’ll be talking about one of my favorite Dragon Splinter cards right now, Runic Skyclaw. Runic Skyclaw is one of those cards which you pick if you just want to snipe units from long range and easily take down giant units.

Introducing Runic Skyclaw

Runic Skyclaw belongs to the Dragon Splinter and plays as a ranged attacker. Tinderlock got released with the Riftwatchers cards set. This card is of rare rarity. This card is mainly used in high mana cap battles because of it's high mana cost. It costs 9 mana to be used in battles, so you can choose this card in your lineup when playing high mana limit matches. Apart from it's high ranged attack damage and speed, it also comes with a large health + armour combo, which helps it to consume multiple attacks before going down. This monster carries a whopping 4 abilities at its max level, which I am going to talk about it next.

Stats and Abilities

At level 1, this monster comes with 3 ranged attack, 3 armor, 5 health and 6 speed. Even at level 1 this card is an absolute beast. It has a very high chance to dodge enemy attacks due to it's high speed. At level 4, this card possesses 4 ranged attack power at 6 speed with 3 armor and 6 health. This card also comes with 2 abilities from the initial level, Flying and Snipe.

• Flying: +25% chance to evade physical attacks. No effect if the attacker also has Flying. Immune to Earthquake.

• Snipe: Magic and ranged attacks target the first non-melee enemy unit behind the first position.

When this card is upgraded to level 5, it's stats remains the same as it's previous level. However, at level 5 it gains a new ability called Deflect.

• Deflect: 0 damage from Corrosive Ward, Magic Reflect, Thorns, Return Fire, and Blast Splash damage.

Now at level 5 after gaining the Deflect ability, this card becomes even more impressive. It can defend against lots of other abilities now because of the Deflect ability.

When this card is upgraded to level 7, it's stats finally gets increased. While, it's health and speed remains the same with 6 health and 6 speed, it's ranged attack power and armor gets an increase. It's ranged attack power is increased from 4 to 5 and it's armor is increased from 3 to 4.

Finally, when this card is upgraded to level 8 (max level), it's stats remains the same as it's previous level, however it gains a new and final ability called Giant Killer. Now, this is when this unit becomes special.

• Giant Killer: Deals double damage if the target's Mana is 10 or more.

Now, this card can easily takedown big units because of it's Giant Killer ability.

Conclusion

In conclusion, this card is something that every player should have in their arsenal, especially if you're about to battle in a high mana cap match. Even at bronze league, this card is a great addition to the team and it really packs a punch. It has very high ranged attack power and speed. Not only that, it also has good armor and health which increased it's durability. Even if we talk about this card from a trading point of view, it goes for a pretty fair amount when you upgrade it to max level. It goes for upto 12$ in the market, so keep leveling it up lads!

So next time you’re running a Dragon team in a high mana match, give Runic Skyclaw a try. You might be surprised by how much this card can contribute to your win streaks!
