Kicking A$$ in Campaign Mode

There was a point in-time I played Splinterlands daily for the better part of 3 years. Afterwards I continued to play here n there with my play continuously becoming less and less. Not because of lost interest or any spike or dip in markets but because there is only 24hrs in a day. I opted to "play splinterlands" in alternate ways as that is what time allowed. Speculating markets, collecting SPS, content creating, the list goes on. Don't get me wrong I still dabble in game-play here n there but I'm once again going all in. I planned and posted about such some weeks back. Like all things @rentmoney does; I come up with the thought, idea and add it to my things to do list and get to it when I can. That getting to it when I can is now. The mode: all things foundation. I plan on being a purchaser of Foundation assets to help give new players who routinely play such a mode encouragement to continue to do so and hopefully to help enrich their wallets to help when they venture out to other modes/ aspects of Splinterlands. I already started doing this to a small degree with a handful of purchases of various level's of Foundation cards. Unfortunately we still haven't sorted our Paypal account out but once we do I imagine my purchases within the Foundation collection is going to increase. For now we will purchase a card or pack here n there. Today's purchase of choice is the Foundation card known as Spinetail Fiend. Today we will purchase a level 3 Gold Foil Spinetail Fiend. The price of a level 3 Spinetail Fiend is just $0.049 USD. I'll take that deal all day long. Lets take a look at the cost in DEC/Credits.

No matter how you slice it that is a great deal for a gold card. What form of payment did @rentmoney use? We decided to trade our Credits. 1000 credits = $1.00 USD. You can load up on CREDITS by using the paypal feature that is located on the official SPL site.

Spinetail Fiend Lore

Spinetail fiends are bestial predators from the lower planes that stalk the bogs and reed-choked wetlands of the Fenmoor Basin. They feed on flesh and fear, hunting in small packs with cruel, honed instincts. They strike from the mist, unseen until it’s too late. Their name comes from the tails: whip-like things lined with spines, made to tear through meat and shatter bone. Locals speak of a sudden stillness, hoarse barks in the fog, and the cold certainty that spinetail fiends are closing in. Chances are, they already have. Lore taken from the official Splinterlands site.

It's intermission time. We will be right back with our scheduled posting right after this short intermission. Poker Update: I earned my first $3.00 USD. No money was risked, no deposits, it was free cash. It's not much but considering I haven't even played a tournament yet and less than a handful of sit n goes I'll consider it a win. The $3.00 was won in a sit n go. Today I will be playing in my first tournament that I also got in for free via a satellite poker tournament. No real expectations here starting off. Just trying to put some time in. Real money tournaments can last 12+ hours straight with 5 minute breaks every hour. Patience is very much a skill needed in poker if you want to be successful. I can't wait to build a bankroll starting at $0 with minimal risks and then share exactly how I did it with you all so you can copy the formula (if so desired). I very much want to help put fiat in your pockets.

Foundation Mode (Lets Go!)

Now that I stacked up on some Foundation cards over the past weeks it's time to give Foundation mode a run for its money. You can find what I routinely call Foundation mode by logging in to Splinterlands > Hovering over the PLAY icon > Select Campaign > Click Book 1 (WAUR MEDGE ACADEMY). After doing so your journey will have begun.

Watch the first cut-scene by clicking the below link

After the cut-scene you will be brought to the section where you prepare for battle. In that section you will see at least one card. The one the game dropped to you for initiating your journey. Select it and click BATTLE. After the battle you will be brought to a new cut-scene (we won't link them all. It's better to discover them as you play). After the cut-scene ends you will have earned some more Foundation cards. After claiming your newly earned rewards (Foundation cards) the screen will update and a new clickable link will appear. That clickable link (icon) will say Next Chapter. If you are ready to continue with game-play then go ahead and give it a click. If not feel free to exit and go back to exploring when you have the time to do so. Rentmoney is going to continue on. Doing so will have a new cut-scene play. After the cut-scene ends you will be presented a new Battle. After the battle ends you will have completed Prologue 2 and have a new reward (card) to claim. You can now continue your journey by clicking Next Chapter. For the moment @rentmoney is going to take a break but I'll be back at it soon enough. Earning Splinterland cards has never been this easy. I played for less then five minutes and gotten to see some amazing cut-scenes and collected multiple cards to add to my collection. We encourage you to give Foundation mode (Campaign Mode) a try if you haven't yet.

What Is Splinterlands?

Splinterlands is a #play2earn game hosted on the Hive Blockchain. Assets that have real monetary value are used to earn rewards/ more assets in a robust gaming economy. Such assets are tradable on-site or on many different secondary markets such as TribalDex and Hive-Engine. Don't have a Splinterlands account yet. Well you are in luck because I just so happen to have an ambassador code. Clicking it will start the sign up process. What is an ambassadors code? Its a code that will give me credit for your sign up at no cost to you. Here it is: https://splinterlands.com/register?ref=rentmoney Don't want to use my ambassador code (no worries) here is a direct link that will forgo any credit to me: https://splinterlands.com.

I used those starter cards and jumped into Frontier ranked play. Its a fun path. Good old play to earn gaming 🙂 I'm getting close to maxing out Foundation cards.
